New to Seattle/WA

I'm brand new to the Seattle and Washington Area, and looking to get some insights on the best places to ride around here. Best places for park, powder, what the vibes are like at each mountain, ect....

-alpental for park

-snoqualmie summit east for steeps and pow

-baker for best vibes (just ask the locals to show you around, they are super friendly and love new faces....they might even let you borrow their beacon!....just ask) oh and baker has a sick half pipe scene, again ask the locals

-stevens is super laid back you can probably show up around 10-11 on a pow day and there will be plenty of parking with no lift lines

Pretty much this. I'll show you the half pipe at baker it's money. People train there all season.

This is it.

Also there is a magical piano hidden out in the woods near stevens pass and if you find it a guy named yung carrot will come and bless you with the power to save your ankles

in all seriousness stevens is likely the best all around resort in wa.

but be prepared:

-it's been gaining popularity over the past few years and there is *limited* parking. it does fill up. i wouldn't leave seattle any later than 6. on a shitty snow year stevens holds strong because it's a higher elevation than snoqualmie. if snoqualmie can't open, stevens likely can so then the seattle hoards collapse on stevens.

-locals are cliquey and salty (not necessarily unique to stevens). they shit don't stink tho, cuz ya know stevens bro get rad for rudolph grace lakes natch bowl rooster hollywood yeeee

-drive slow. the highway on the west side is a god damned meat grinder, every year somebody or multiple people die. i know everybody on NS is a pro rally driver sponsored by subaru so i'm sure you'll be ok...please drive defensively

-for fucks sake be nice to the employees when terrain is not open. the new owners are TIGHT with money and rad terrain will be closed when it should be open. get used to it and don't take it out on the employees.

This thread was perfect. Just moved to Seattle too about two months ago. Really looking forward to the ski season. I've been trying to find people who are down for some hike up, ski down stuff right now too but no luck. Anyone? (I guess at this point it's just higher elevations on Rainier that are still skiable other than Hood but still)

If you want someone to ski with, hit me up.

At least in death, his butthole was still intact...wait nevermind~

Okay let me fix that. I'll be working in Tacoma. And staying there for a little while when I'm looking for a place. Looking at Seattle or going more south. Commute isn't an issue. Since I won't have to commute everyday.
