New to NS....Hi all

I've been checking the site for a while but just signed up. I'm way depressed cause my ski season ended about 4 weeks ago with a torn miniscus. Oh well, gettin surgery next week and I'll be skiing next season for sure. Just puts mountain biking and surfing on hold for the summer. Looks like this will be my sole entertainment for a while. So hi.
 
meniscus's heal really fast, you have a crutch for like a week and then you're walking, it's no big deal

i only used crutches for one day

that shit heals fast man ull be bikin within 6 weeks

im about 5 weeks out and can already do Xc routes and stuff as long as i dont mash out...plus biking is good exercise/rehab for the knee
 
wow so far everyone has been nice. im impressed. good lcuk with your knee. tearing shit is no fun.
 
welcome first and foremost but prepare yourself for:

a. the worlds most ridiculous arguments/discussions

b. some of the most idiotic points of view to be found on the internet

c. and occasionally you find something interesting

but most of all ns is the best way to waste your time, i think i have spent more time on here than studying throughout uni, buts its all fun
 
NS is amazing for procrastination

welcome to the rest of your life..ha..

I also injured my self this year..Broke my T-7 vertabre in my back and a rib and my left wrist in 2 different spots..2008 has been a great year

Welcome to NS. I am surprised everyone above me is in such a loving mood. Did you all eat the same thing today? I mean, the ski season just ended, summer is coming, and a newb makes a "Hi I'm new" thread....and you all are welcoming.

I think I just shed a tear.
 
yea i mean if i woulda made a thread when i was first here id be getting the cool story hansel and everything else we say to kids and he gets plus karma???? wow

I'm actually suprised myself that I'm not getting hated on......was expecting it. But as far as getting out now....I already know.....I've been posting on message boards forever. So I'm well aware that my life has officially gone.

same here, if i spent as much time learning than browsing through ns i'd probably finished school with 1.0 average (a straight A for all that dont receive normal grades from 1 to 5)
