New terms of the season.

So far I can think of three. The Octograb, at least I had never heard of it till a few weeks ago, I guss Charles and Jon are into them. All ARG riders will be know as Snow Pirates, and in that alta thread I think switch is now offically refered to as riding dirty. Anyone got any other new ones?
 
also, if you grab the ski with both hands both on the inside edge and pull it close, like T-hall does, you could tecnhically call that a sack-tap
 
from now on skiing switch is any way will be riding dirty, but you dont need to use it in tricks unless you want to. (Corked 7 mute riding dirty).
 
yeah a dirty 3 would be a switch unnatural 3. So the riding dirty is not the best term. sounds good, but not the best
 
at the risk of starting another argument about definitetions of terms, i thought CAB was the term for switch + unnatty
 
were talkin new terms here, dirty is anything switch, but on the cap topic, personaly I would rather say switch unnatty or unnatty dirty then cab.
 
JF's "dirty" just meant unnatural. I remember distinctly the trick tip in Freeze for a "Dirty 360". It was just an unnatty 3.
 
wait ... so 270 on, switch up (same direction) then 270 out is a crown? or does it have to be oppisite switch up aka pretzal.. ive got the crown on lockDOwn
 
One more thing:

I remember a while back we were throwing around "crisp" as a substitute for steezy.

How'd that turn out?

yeah i know waht your saying, alotta ppl hate that word but i like it... i wonder who came up with that word
 
Totally agree, but I remember it being a new but similar term.

Two examples from it were:

"That five was crisp!"

"Dude, your mom's pussy was so crisp last night."
 
foque - it's the alternative to jib (we use it because it's spanish for jib)

wrapping is spinning really fast - "yo i wrapped a 7 on that catwalk"

nipple is a weak grab, titty is a solid gab (derived from the question "did you grab the nipple or did you grab the titty?")



 
After reading the thread up to this point it seems we have a strong follow to call skiing switch riding dirty, especially when around ski patrol. Also we have some in favor of whippersnappers for the youngins, Some mentions of crisp, wrapped, kachunka or something(dont know if i got that one) and no one has seconded snow pirate for the ARGers. I like to use wrapped up when talking about a smooth spin. Also no should mess with steeze. It is offical, steeze is here to stay. Keep um coming
 
hahah, oh Jesus, that happened to me two weeks ago. I was in Killington and landed hard and the business end of my look px 12 JIB binding nailed me right in the ass.

By the way, someone needs to make a list of terms or a dictionary or something.
 
Totally. That's concrete, and a perfect word. It just fits so well.

Riding dirty shouldn't be able to pass because it reminds me of Chamillionaire and I can't hate that ugly piece of shit, but the dirty referring to switch and unnatural is totally legit. I think switch should stay around for a few mroe years at least, and use BIF as an alternative for now.
 
^ you probably liked it. anyway, my new term is as follows: NS hero. it's someone who has like 11,000,000 posts and thinks they're the shit and spends all season taking pics in their steezy expensive gear that their parents bought for them purely so they can get MAYBE 3 or 4 pictures in which said skier (bot) looks like they are actually good, so as to impress fellow Bots (NS heroes).

yes, i'm talking about 2/3 of you.

i completely see where you are coming from....as for my new term

bot (n) - a skier who is extremely steezey; or the majority of the time, a skier who does everything they can to look like T - $, or whatever else ppl say is cool. i.e. wearing a bad lt, wisdoms, saga, aeryx, and t hall pro models.....(im not saying that equipment is bad, or looks gay, im just saying a bot is somebody decked out in it)
