New SSX Game being developed by Skate team

This would be amazing if they made it skiing-inclusive.I have fears that it wont be, in which case you may as well play skate3.

i jsut got it out the other day, but i was also kinda pissed cuz i found my ssx tricky disk and it wouldn't work

I dunno it seems kindof in the air. I think we should get a big online petition going and send it in to EA/the games developers to beg them to have skiing in this
 
I agree, "going back to it's roots" doesn't have to mean the exclusion of skiing. again, there is still no definite answer on this.
 
two years seems like a very long time to create a game. Maybe they are including skiing or maybe they will make it one bad ass snowboarding game.
 
From the article: "New and proposed features included the ability to "take part in helicopter drops and rescues, base-jumping, wingsuit/squirrel-suit flying, skyboarding, para-skiing, ice-climbing and more."Key word there is para-skiing, which would hopefully mean that they are putting skiing in the game, or at least has a strong possibility.
 
If the guys from skate are making it though I still have faith. Mini-games can be pretty fuckin' sweet sometimes. Wing Suiting and base jumping in HD on my PS3... fuck yes I'll take a copy. Sounds like this game will be more back country oriented which could be sick. I hope they bring some realism into this game if it's BC related. We all know that shit is no joke.
 
Questionable. Mini-games usually just mean less time spent on the actual important stuff. Its just filler. Skate didn't have any stupid mini games, it was all about the skating, which is why it was so sick.
 
Too lazy. Tried skating when i was 12 because it was the cool thing to do, couldn't even ollie... gave up forever.
 
Some games like that turn out really good though. Remember that old game that was just all flying/parachuting mini games? I think it was called "Jet Wing" or something. It was actually super super fun. Plus I could see paraskiing being super fun in SSX imagine if it was just like another person you could choose and then you could take it all over the regular tracks. Also dropping out of a heli seems really fun, one of the SSX games had an AK track where you started out with a huge drop and I always liked that one.
 
Try a longboard. Takes a lot more balls bombing a hill at 30mph than doing a kickflip but takes a HELL of a lot less skill. On a normal skateboard I can only pop shuvit and 360 shuvit but on a longboard I feel like a superhero staring death in the face and laughing. And 30mph isn't even very fast for a lot of people.
You will get hurt a lot though.
 
I agree with EA snow, but I always thought 1080 sucked, cool boarders shit on 1080. snowboard kids was super rad too.
 
eh, i think jumping off buildings for points counts as a mini-game. i find that aspect of skate to be pretty stupid to be honest.
 
My only gripe with that game was how shitty shitting pow was if you were a skiier. It was the same animation/feeling as if you were carving down a groomer, whereas with boarding you'd float through it and it was awesome.

 
True, but the whole japanese cartoon vibe kinda freaked me out, still pretty sick though. especially the fact you could put a 30 ft kicker on top of a 200 ft cliff and sled off of it.
 
I sold my copy for like 5 bucks last year on here....... Probably gonna regret it but this kid was dedicated to finding a copy and i'm sure i really made him happy.

your either shrooming or never played amp 1 and 2. Amped 3 was the worst sporting game to ever be released anywhere for anything. Except ken griffey baseball for gameboy of course.
