New Skis

Im looking at some new skis for all mountain/big mountain skiing. Im 5'6 115lbs. I currently ski Armada Ar5s 170. I ski everything from groomers to bumps to powder. I go into the park sometimes but i like cliffs and glades the most. I'd say I am an advanced/expert skier. I have a season pass to Gore/Whiteface, but i go up to Stowe,Killington,Jay,and Mad River sometimes. I also go out to utah every year for a week. Im deffinately looking for a ski with a waist around 85mm. Twin tip or not... It doesnt matter. I've narrowed it down to a few skis.

Im probably 40%Glades 5%Cliffs 15%Bumps 10%Groomed 10%Park 20% Off Piste

Dynastar Legend 8800 168's

Line Pollard Pros 166's

Faction Dilligent 169's

Volkl Karma 169's

Fischer Big Stix 8.6 170's

or any other suggestions

check out the line assassen mtx pro.there a stiffer ski with a 80mm waist under foot (for powder)yeat there quick edge to edge for the trails. a fun ski

line relly has done a good job with there skis this year.www.lineskis.com

hands down?Ive heard good stuff about all of the skis more towards the pollards, legends, and karmas vs the fischers and factions

karmas or pollards, but if you are as good as you say you are and you want a ski for all mtn/big mtn, i'd go a bit bigger. go for the karma 177 (i think that's the next size up). you definitely want your big mtn ski to be bigger than your park ski.

i dont spend a majority of my time on big mountain as i do in the backcountry only big mountain when i go to tuckermans, utah, and some secret spots

check out libertys pro models... they are so sick......... great in powder and awesome in park... 3 year warrenty too.

We're all chasing the dream

if you want good skis for moguls and especially glades get some used volkl supersport 5-stars i got em and they're the best for mad river

ya, im a big line fan, but id get the karmas. i have never heard anything bad about them, and a freeskier rated them best ski of this year.

why the fuck do you want all these big,fat powder skis, there's no fucking snow in the east coast, go w/ something like the msp's they are good for all mtn. I dunno about you but there are very very few cliffs to hit in the east coast, and if they are good usually the landing is rock hard. Also I don't know how you are going to ger Dillengers considering they are sold out till next November

^ msp's are just as wide as all the skis he listed there buddy. thanks for coming out.

Armada- The 4frnt msp's a 92mm not 82mm in the 180cm lenght and are 87mm in the 170cm lenght. so in fact they are wider then anything he had listed.....

are you thinking of the STL's? which are 82mm in the 177 and 78mm in the 167.

ATLANTASKI- i got Maden's to slide urban rails

KEV- I just realized that, when I looked them up in the bigger lenths, I just got it off some random website, I just assumed they were all the same length, you are indeed correct

the pollards run short, as the tips are huge, just know that

i'd still never touch salomon bindings with a 30 foot pole. they pre-release like its their job to.-lanks
