NEW SKIS!

Hey guys whats up,

Looking at getting a new pair of skis and need some help!:

I'm looking for a fairly light pair of skis, with a low spin weight, medium flex, nothing too stiff, nice on rails but still able to stomp it in the jumps, (symmetrical if possible)

I ski about 85% park 15% groomer

(In the park i ski 40% rails 60% jumps)

I've narrowed it down to three skis:

APO RISE UP FS (2015) vs ATOMIC PUNX (2015) vs LINE MASTERMIND (2014)

Extra info:

120lbs

5'8"

Intermediate Skier

Park/groomers

I would say all the skis you have narrowed down would be great. However I wouldnt go with the Masterminds. I have never heard anything about those skis. I have never ridden APOs but I did ride some pretty old Punx last year and they weren't bad. They were a little stiff but they were pretty good otherwise.

This year I am riding the 14 AR7s and love them. They could be a little heavy for your taste but I just got a lighter binding. They are pretty soft but are stiff at the same time I would say.

ON3P Filthy Riches are practically a given here. Definitely give those a look. I would look at Armada Thalls (AR7 if you want stiffer) and k2 shreditor 92s as well.

Check out the 4frnt Switchblade! Amazing ski, im riding it right now and i love it! It is very similar to the ar7, except the flex. Its softer than the ar7, but you still can stop 60+ foot jumps on them! Soft enough to butter around, but still holds its own!

Line chronics are great Imo, most companies can make a solid ski these days whatever you can good deal on.

while i do not know a ton about the apos, the punx and masterminds really are not similar in any way. punx are stiffer, more durable, high quality skis. while the masterminds are the flexiest skis i know of, and fragile as all hell. punx are built for pro level skiers and masterminds are made for younger kids and people who are new to the sport (they really are shitty, the majority of unfixable repairs to come through the shop is mastermind related). if you are looking into line perhaps check out the chronics and the future spins, both of these sound more up your alley.

but if i had to make a recommendation i would go and take a look at the armada Thalls and the ON3P filthy rich. while they are different shape they have similar flex patterns and sound perfect for what you are looking for.

Hey guys! Thanks for all the input and replys!

I'm looking at the atomic punx right now and i've got a great deal on them, should i go for it?
