I need new skis and im thinking about the Afterbangs and the suspects. The suspects are more expensive, and the afterbangs can (apparently) take alot of damage. I am also up to any other skis u guys reccomend. I want light skis that are playful and are durable enough to last. I live on the east coast and also im short so...
Thanks for your reccomendations and input!

I would be good if you can give us your height, weight and ability so that we can give you better suggestions.

ok so i am like 5 foot 2 inches and i like 90 lbs. I want to get better at rails etc this year and i dont do really big jumps, just the normal sized ones

I think you would be happy with the afterbangs instead of the suspects; afterbangs are a much better ski on rails. Afterbangs have super thick edges, so there is no worrying about your edges getting ripped off easily. Suspects don't exactly have the greatest edges, don't be fooled by what salomon calls "edge armor".

You're a smaller guy too, a ski with a soft flex like the afterbangs will be easier for you to jib around the park.

I recommend the afterbangs over the suspects for your criteria.

If I were you I would buy used skis until you know what you want in a ski. Then drop the big money on a brand new pair.
Given that you are not going to be thrashing these skis I would say both would be fine for you.

I wouldn't recommend any of those skis if you're looking for something more durable. At your size and weight I think you would like the Volkl Ledge, they're symmetrical and are relatively soft. Volkl is bombproof, you can't go wrong with them.
