I just got a new pair of 161 line invaders for 199$. I ski 60% park and like 40% all mountain. From wat ive heard this is a great ski for everything. But has any of you guys had this ski? How is it? Also on the tip of the ski there is a small gap in the metal edgings, how is the warrenty with line cause im afraid this might cause the edges to start falling apart.

They told me they had a good warrenty and where i bought them and said tht the little gap wont do much, thats just how there made and if it does then theyl prob just warrenty them.

... i just wanted to see how theyl do. it was the only good deal on skis i was able to get. And watch while ur sleeping....

i have skied them on numerous occasions. theyre kind of a novelty ski. sure the flex lets you do some cool things, but it makes the ski useless on anything big or fast.

100% agree, i snapped mine, got a new pair, and basically snapped them again.. And for 200 you got a pair of line invaders, from 2-3 or even more years ago (cause 2 years ago was the last year they stopped making them i believe). thats a horrible deal, I got a pair of slightly used salomon dumonts last year that were only a year old, with bindings for 200.. Im sure you could have found a lot more better deals online Now with the good part. when i had my invaders working they were a lot of fun. Very playful ski. But i obviously wouldnt recommend them for anything but park, and in the park especially not booters! thats how i snapped mine. I landed back seat and the area in the tail where they tapered it snapped. they are too soft for jumps. also that little gap i believe you are talking about. That is how the ski is made. When line or other companys make the skis they dont always continue the edge all the way around the ski. Normally the reason they do is so that it provides more protection against possibly hitting rocks or damaging it etc. And the skis that do have it apparently wrapped all the way around, it isnt actually 1 edge. Its a u shaped edge that meets up on both sides with the actual side edges of the ski. You dont really need to worry about that, but just try not to directly run into anything and you will be fine. Overall they are fun skis, and good luck

they did warranty them for me, because i got the skis when they were that season's skis. but now i do not know how good or how long your warranty will go because the invaders are no longer made, and havent been made the past 2 years. but i would definately look into that. And do not use them on jumps bigger then a few feet, they are really made for rails and last longer on rails (because of their cap construction). but good luck
