I used to just ahve some atomic skis they werent anything special. I have been skiing for 4 year now and got to the point where i want to freestyle now.

I bought myself

Salomon 1080s Skis

Salomon s912 ti bindings

Salomon 1080 boots

will this b e awhole new type of skiing im scared the twin tips will be harder to ski.

I can take double blakc diamonds and consider myself advanced.

How will this setup go.

any tips on tricks or anything

great setup for sure, twins are fun and are easy to throw around, you will have tons of fun this season

thats deffinatly a good pair of skis, as for tips on 'tricks or anything else', just look around the site because that is what it is mostly about.

That is definitely a great set-up...As for the skis, you should find them pretty easy to work with...they are good for most applications...I raced on my old ones a couple of times!!

thats awesome, if your just getting into freestyle, just work your way up, get comfortable skiing backwards and thrown some 1's and 3's, try some grabs to mix in with them and take it from there

Thanks a lot guys for all the support. All good replies.

Its glad to be at such a nice forum with some cool skiers and people who arent trashing other skiers.

I cant wait to get my gear on wednesday.

Here in Alaska we got like 1 ft of snow already and it has been snowing all day, pretty ill.

Oh yea another question i dont want to post a topic, but i want a good beanie to wear and was wondering if you guys know some sick beanies that have ski companies on there or something, i cant stand wearing boarder clothes.

Thanks everybody.

Dude thats a fucking sweet set-up. As youve already been told youll have no problem skiing anything with those. But if yu a very aggressive skier then you need to be careful with the 1080's. The are really soft. when i switched from racing to frestyle i was like flexing the 1080 at like a 90 degree angle. But after you get use3d to them they work like a dream :)

as druid said, you may want to watch out for the flex. i went from racing for several years on race stock skis to the concepts last year and there was a huge difference

The only thing you will find you need to get used to is the fact that your bindings will be closer to the centre of the ski, so you will have more tail behind you. Other than that, there isn't much different. Welcome aboard!!
