I'm thinking about getting a new pair of skis this season and im not sure what to get. Last year was my first year of freestyle and i can 3, 270 out, butter and what not. im 6'2" and 165lbs. I'll be skiing East Coast groomers and park for most part. Lookin for anything in the 180cm range. I was thinking about getting the anthems but a lot of people say they wash out on big jumps but i dont really hit anything over 40'. Considering Chronics but im open to suggestions.

++++Karma

public enemies would be a good fit for you as well. ive got a pair myself on the east coast and love em. great carving ski on the groomers, can handle the occasional pow day well, and can also perform well in the park. my opinion is what it is.

haha no. the blend is 100mm waist more of an almountain ski. i mean yeah it would probly handle fine in the park. but you would deffinatly be better off on the anthem, or chronic.

Public enemy's are super stiff. I think Chronics or walls would be better for you, but if you want a softer ski anthems aren't that bad. I am a pretty big guy and I love my anthems. They do wash out if you land backseat on something bigger. But if you stick it every time you are in the clear. Another softer ski that would work for you is the ar6.

well idk what your budget is, but i would say checking out the anthems is a good idea. They come in a 179 which would be a decent length for you and are a soft ski which will be nice for someone who is just starting to get serious about the park. And if your not hitting jumps over 40 ft they will be fine for you. Another plus is that they are wide enough for you to enjoy pow days that you might get. Idk what ski flex you prefer, but i think the ar6's would also be a good choice for you. They are gonna be stiffer than the anthems and they come in a 181 which is a perfect size for you. They also perform good in the all mountain category. I think the ar6's would be a better ski for you to get because if you get really serious in the park this year, your gonna want a stiffer ski that can charge and handle bigger tricks.

+1 for AR6. Stiffer than the Anthem to hold up on jumps, yet soft enough to mess around in the park on rails and butters. They'll hold up on your EC groomers and all mountain too.

Blends = Too wide.

Anthems = Not bad, I saw Will Wesson slaying at Stowe with them last year, and he wasn't washing out and he's only okay....ha

Chronics = Another option.

Walls = Another option.

This year's version of whatever the scratch fs is, i think its called the S4 would be another good option. i dnot know what everyone is saying with blends and shit, because since when is 100 underfoot a recreational park ski?

get ar6s... theyre mad fun and the anthems are sick too but on the bigger jumps you have to really land very well to perfectly or else you will wash out... the ar6s have more room for error off of big jumps... but both are all around sick skis
