all sorts of misinfo going on in this thread. first off, no rule was ever made that said soft skis are better than stiff skis in the park. soft skis are good for buttering, yes, but personally, i like my MSPs in the park, and they are a decently stiff ski. also, if you arent skiing strictly park, dont get a strictly park oriented ski like the fujatives, t halls, or something like that. they are made to be super flexy, easy to butter on, etc, but dont hold an edge when it comes down to it. the fujatives are an ok powder ski for a small person, but for skiing groomers and bumps, definately not your best bet. from what you are saying, a pair of troublemakers would work out well for you. awesome in the park because they are fogiving and have tons of pop, but still ski pretty decently all over the mtn, and they are awesome in the bumps too. the mojos (this year's mad trix) are a stiff ski, probably a little too much for you, and the scratches are at the complete opposite end of the spectrum, super soft. i'd say you want something in the middle range to start off with, and then once you progress, you will figure out what type of ski will suit your style better. if you can, demo a few pair before you buy anything.
