New skis for 07

k so im looking for a ski thats pretty wide around the waste 85-110 but i want ti to perform in east coast crud aswell cuz i live out east... i go to jay peak a lot and also hae 2 or 3 trips out west every year so i ski powder a good amount... im about 50:50 park:all mountain.... i have the 05 chrons right now and i want something wider nad wit more flex... i also haae a low budget.... what would you sugest.... and oh yeah im 5'10 155ish.. prob looking at liek a 175?

i ski pow like 3 or 4 times a year.... so not much.... most of the time im at like okemo in the park or somewhere witout it but we go to jay adn out wesst a few times a year

hummmmmmm....try maybe something like the chronic blend...its wider but i doubt it will give the the flexier type ski that u want. u could go for something more like the AR6...BUT THAT IS GOING TO COST YOU SOME DOUGH...also think about the sir. francis bacons. they are wider, they are softer, and if u pre-order them they will be alot cheaper....u could also look into some of Volkls line...possibly the Karma...but im not sure u are going to find a ski that is 50/50 park and all mountain, on the softer side, and cheap...all at the same time. you are going to have to make a compromise on what u want in the ski...but i would reccoment a lenght of between 170 and 180 (minimum 170) because u are going to be skiing some pow and a longer ski never hurts for the park. good luck,

many people wont agree with me but i have been skiing on the pistols and the vicious's for the past 3 years on east coast crud and i find them to perform very well i would recomend at least trying them before jumping to the conclussion they are too fat or whatever you may think of them.

if u ski in the east don't go too wide..maybe some scratch bc.. one of my friends ride them they're amazing.. or maybe some p-e

yeah scratch bcs would be a good choice, and if u want to save some dough u can get the regular version instead the wrs or w.e its called now, cause its still a dope ski

personally I thought the big troubles were amazing for such conditions. If you have a tighter budget that might be a problem. Then again, the fatter you go, the more you pay, generally.

seths or big troubles, those are gonna treat you the best. and get it bigger than a 175, go more around 180ish and then push it up around +3 or 4 for all mtn and i think u will be set.

id go with the scratch bc i skied them outwest last year along wiht the big troulbes and they were much better. theyd also be able to hold it down in the east

scratch bc or seth would be dope, but if you're on a budget chronic blend. Or I'd say anthem but you probably dont want center mount if you are 50/50
