Hey everyone... So I made an iPhone game. It's called Ski Time! It's really simple, but it's very challenging. Everyone's favorite newschoolers.com founder Matt Harvey holds the ridiculous high score of 91. Good luck beating that. It's free to download.

Fuck that was frustrating. Well done Mr. Levin, this will definitely waste a bunch of my time.
 
This is an exercise in frustration. Got to 7 and had to put my phone down because otherwise I was going to throw it across the room.
 
Ha... The control takes some fitness. The longer you tap the faster / harder the skier turns, one way or the other. You just get in the zone... I'll get 30 or 40, the get five the next ten runs in a row.

Uglyboy yeah, I'm going to try and get that going on my next release... It's a whole new can of worms to figure out. I'm Gonna do some achievements in Game Center too.

Any tips on the best way to get the technique?

Addictive, but phone throwing could happen if I can't get past fucking 11. Lulz.
 
Well, Doug. I like to cradle it in my right hand, and I use my left index finger to tap, somewhere up around the middle of the screen, on the left hand side.

Tap. Tap. Tap. Tap. Tap a little longer when I want to make an aggressive move one way or another.

Just like that. Easy!

I really have no idea what I'm doing... It took me a few weeks to figure out Apple and their store, and I'm pretty familiar with apple and their products. I know nothing about android or google play... so I imagine it will take me a few more weeks to get it sorted out, on top of adding in a few more features to the current version... then it takes a week to go through the approvals... Maybe a month?
 
got to 27! made it to number 7 on the leader board. won't last long once Asians find this game tho lol

David levin learned swift for this.

that being said controls can be more intuitive but Fun concept. Challenging gameplay.

reminds me a lot of the game I made for computer programming class.

seriously it's the same exact concept but with rocks

My girlfriend was playing earlier and ended up laughing hysterically and shaking my phone furiously for several minutes straight. It was worrisome.

I just might have ruined it a littler more. Someone tied me at 94 but I'm at 114 now.
 
Can't belive it, after only two days there are over 1,100 people on the leader board... Thanks so much for playing. Definitely motivating me to get moving on some updates. Anything anyone would like to see in the next update, other than fixing the collision huge states with the trees? (ps not fixing it... Just get better at avoiding them)

Who's powerlarry? He on here? Came out of nowhere with a 117. I haven't been able to do better than 42 today, and mostly I've been getting less than 20.

You're a freeking animal. I can't even get close to my high score anymore.

Also interesting to note, in Estonia, Ski Time has gone to number 9 in sports arcade games, and Number 68 over all in arcade games. So thanks, Estonia. You rule.
