yeah this doesn't sound like a good thing. it will be great when they have the skiers be able to take their skis off and fucking twirl them around.

it sounds cool that skiers are being put in the game but I wish we could get a more realistic game like the way the coolboarders series was. I havnt played it in at least 4-5 years but I remember that you never took off your board or anyhting.

Looks pritty lame, but its better then nothing! Im buying it for sure, because if its sell good, im sure there will come more realistic skiing games in the future! It would be great to have a skiing game like tonyhawk(but much more realistic) or amped.. making own courses and shit

 
here is a little article i found

The latest issue of Game Informer magazine reveals the first details of Electronic Arts' next snowboarding game, SSX 4. It turns out it will be released for PS2, Xbox, and GameCube, as well as PSP and DS. There's no mention of it being released for Xbox 2.

-There will be a big focus on speed, with Burnout 3-type speed & blur effects

-For the first time in a SSX game, you'll be able to ski. Skiiers can do "Monster Tricks" that snowboarders can't.

-Every course is designed with both freestlye and speed in mind.

-You'll be able to create your own character.

-SSX 4 takes place on one big mountain, like SSX 3 (correct me if I'm wrong; I never played SSX 3).

 
I liked SSX 1, was new

then I bought Tricky, had 2 new courses on it & they did all those stupid uber tricks, was lame!

Then I bought SSX 3, One big mountain & the best of both previous games, & more customizing of your Rider. (Elize in a Playboy Bunny Suit) SSX 3 is the best one, But Its getting kinda like the movie Rocky 1,2,3,4,5,6,7.

THey have the game platform & just keep tweaking it a bit, SSX 3 was a overhaul & the Best. But its just gonna be that same old stuff warmed over.

jupp,, that would be great... skiing frome the start, getting sponsored, training in the local park and be in competitions and such, even make own park and online playing..that would be fucking sick..much sicker then doing 2160 spread eagle on a 600ft long jump

Wow that game is going to suck. his skis have no camber, he's dressed like a flippin prep, and his skis look like they're 110mm at the waist. I thought it was supposed to be jibbin?

Why doesn't Microsoft put skiing in Amped 3 :D! That would be MUCH better, cause from the pictures I see, and my experience of any SSX games, it will be alot like JMMT. A Dissapointment.

The only complaint I will have is spinning. All of the SSX's have been by the little directional pad or the L and R's....I want it to be free form wit the joystick so we can freely do corks and shit without doing like X+X+O+(triangle)+L2+R3

you guys seem to be forgetting about that huge EA petition, i guess they finally listened to us but you guys are still bitching about it. we wanted a skiing game and we got it. it may not be exactly what we hoped for but it's a huge step in the right direction towards a more designated skiing game
