new skiers

Ok at school i was reading a freeskier and it looks like there are a ton of people just getting into newschool stuff and i think we are going to see a new problem with newschoolers disliking snowboarders and racers and all kinds of stuf like that cuase they dont have any respect for other areas of snowsports. I think that this is a horrible things acause skiers/snowboarders are starting to mesh together hope the newbies dont ruin that

I ride with boarders all the time and the only problem i have riding with boarders is that you have to wait for them while they put their bindings on at the top of the lift. But thats more of a running joke between me and my friends.

when im out there skiing i could care a less if it is a racer boarder or a dude w/ twin tips...as long as they chill and cool then i have no problem with them...im so others comming into the sport will feel the same way as long as they arent treated like shit when they fall

I like the snowboarders that are good and don't push all the snow off of the mountain. But I hate racers because they always cut you off. They think they're the best and they can do whatever they want, but they can't.

dude not all racers are pricks, i know a few and there all right guys, they train in the morning and then grab there twin tips and hit the park in the afternoon, some racers suck but most are all right, so ease up on all the hate

I think the new thing with new skiers is the fact that now they learn skiing on twins, wich is a really bad thing. Have you ever seen those guys with twin greasing a rail really nicely, and then shit in his pants thinking he has to go down the hil to get the chairlift because he doesn't even know how to ski properly? Most of the good skiers have a racing background or had a couple of lessons before hitting the park. We should encurage(if this is an english word) that

i've been snowboarding since I was 13, and after going to whistler this season I was so impressed with freeskiing that I a) got my hands on some scratch BCs and had a wicked time, so I'm intending to ski heaps this coming season and b) want to go into the industry - just got a new job at a ski/snowboard store (with Armada coming in next week)

I'm just stoked to be riding, whatever it is

yeh im with you on that, i ride with some freeride boarders who can ride the same lines and cliffs as me. but you get some dickheads on the lifts that take the piss because im a skier even tho they are riding rentals and in a beginers(sp) group.
