New ski pole company

I remember seeing pictures someone put up from skipass.com or akibasports or some foreign website for all next years gear. There was this new pole company. I believe it was french. I thought it may be somehow related to Julien Regnier. The pole had super low profile grips like mountain bike grips. Any one know anything? Links?

I'm guessing you're thinking of Armada's poles they're making this year. They're super sick.

The have a motostyle grip, no basket or anything, just a round bike style grip, sick idea. An interchangable basket system for park skiing and pow skiing. Lots of cool colors and designs for the shafts. You can buy replacement shafts if you break one. All the shafts come in one size, and you cut it down from there. Also the the handles are interchangable if you want a new color or wear down the other ones.

The system is about 80bucks US. A replacement shaft or handle is about 20, and the baskets are 10 or 11 I think.

Either Armada poles or Joystick poles are they way to go.

Oh, and when I said no baskets, refering to the grips, I ment no straps or anything like that.

If you aren't a cheap bastard without a job yes. If you're a responsible member of society with a job and can spend the money to get a sweet pole, where you can replace stuff if you break it, instead of buying new poles again, they're great.

it is nice though to just take rentals that are also poles that work just as well.

Never heard of them, and thats a possibility, but Regnier is on Armadas so Armada poles would make more sense.

it's just so damn important to have a pole that will perform for you! i mean, they stick in the ground but damn, they gotta be at least $50USD or they're just not cool! if you're on rentals, get out of the way, the real ballers with money comin out their asses are gonna take over with their overpriced aluminum!

Are you buying an all east college pass? It'd help me out if you bought it at attitash.com/parker. It's the same price as the normal site and will accomplish the exact same thing, but you'd be helping out a fellow newschooler. thanks

I got that from the site, under the sneak peak area, it shows the grips with no starps. I could be wrong but I don't know.

i couldnt deal without straps... my straps are on my wrists at all times when im out on the hill i honostly dont know what id do with myself on the lift if i didnt have straps

But, I don't really like my straps much, they are the reason for my thumb breakage and jamming when I fall. I usually dont use them.
