New ski mag?

Think frequency...on ski.

Go buy a frequency, fork over the money, it's really not that much....see how fucking GREAT it is, and then rethink your stance on the journal.

I'm pumped, and I'm subscribing. It's what ski-lit should be, or at leat right now in in theory....but then looking at the list of contributors and editors, i'm pretty confident it will be.

Stick with freeskier if you want/like it. Go for it.
 
That shit Look sick like finally a REAL ski magazine freeskier sucks ass compared to that. good on your guys for tying something new.
 
Quality doesn't come cheap.

If you're worried about the price, then the magazine clearly isn't aimed at you.
 
that would be a sick idea i agree

although it would be tough because it would take a lot of hardwork and people and materials. A good i dea though
 
word's been out for a few months, cody. Sounds pricy but knowing the quality of Frequency's snowboard mag, I'd give it the benefit of the doubt.
 
Tmorry is right, as usual.

Frequency rocks and since the same company is doing the Journal, you can expect to see some very cool stuff in the first issue.

I don't think it will replace Freeskier or Powder, but it should be a nice addition to the bathroom reading selection.
 
after being a long time lurker, this thread gave me enough inventive to register.

anyways. check out frequency and you will see that a snowboard magazine just does not get any better. It cant, the issues are insane. If The Ski Journal is anything like frequency it will be super killer. They even have "the jerk" from freeze. http://www.theskijournal.com/about.php

If you cant afford it and do not appreciate, great photo's, real stories, few ads and a magazine that feels more like a book than a magazine, then this magazine is probably not for you.
 
agreed, i still havent subscribed to another mag since freeze whent under, well besides ski time, but i dont know

10$ a mag seems a little steep
 
I'll wait til it comes out, peep it at Barnes and Noble, if they carry it, maybe purchase it depending how it looks.

At the price though with so few issues a year, it best be long as fuck.
 
Yhea looks like a quality magazine for shure. There are lots of those in the surfing scene; For instance just check out WATER magazine or NALU Underground.

Those mags have more of a National Geographic style cover, a bigger page/ad ratio and ultra quality print/paper/photographs. You can really feel where your 10$ is going with those. There are lots more longer articles and deep lifestyle roots in those.
