i'm planning on writing to a video game company about an idea for a new skiing game. i've got plenty of ideas for it but i want all u hardcore skiers to let me know what u would like to have in it. also do u think it should be more of a fantasy or realistic kind of game?

-It needs to have around the same hardness level as Jibberish if not a little more, where it actually takes some practice to cork spins and shit. Also if you were ablt to build backcountry booters with a shovel and take your skis off to hike shit, it would be the sickest game ever made.

-Also a point system, skill point system and less liniar maps, where you can ski more or less where you want, not in a straight-set course.

-A LAN multiplayer mode, and fully customizable skiers with jerzys, puffy jackets, gold bling and fur. There should also be comps you can enter to earn money and fame and you can smoke some before to ease your nerves and have a really chilled run. Of course the more you smoke the more you buy, and you won't have as much money to buy skis etc. It's all about balence

Music and sound is really important too, with a quality mix of dope hiphop and some rock. And lightening effects like sunsets, blizzards and blue sky would make it all the better. I know you'll probably never be able to make something like this but I wouldnt go outside for a few days if it came out and I would easly pay 50 for it.

Well the best snowboarding game ever is SSX on PS2.

Of course that's kinda like a boardercross/freestyle mix, and there aren't any pipes. But still an awesome game. I would definately play a skiing game similar to that.

i dont think theyd include the smoking weed part. and if they did, that right there is just another steryotype ppl will put on freestyle skiiers. and the company would not allow it anyway most likely

Yeah, the petition just didn't make the cha-ching sounds go off in the game developers ears I guess. We do have a freeskiing game for mobile phones coming out soon, but yeah... There's no shame in doing what you can. It IS a very important issue and the more people who pursue might make the game companies think a bit more about putting something out. I'm not counting on it anytime soon, but when the PS3 comes out it'll be just a matter of time... Seriously... So yeah, I lke east's ideas, good shit, make sure that stuff gets on there maybe sans the toque'n up part, do what you can it might pay off...

what do u guys think of the idea of instead of having a special mode like in THPS, u have get some rhythm going from jump to jump in order to pull of the sickest tricks in the game and i agree that there shouldn't be any quad rodeos or stuff like that
