New ski game, inspired by the TGR Tracks game

what i did is:

align a bunch of not so big cliffs ( like 7 cliffs)

and do 180,360,540,720,900 until you stomp all 5, no need for grabs
 
there's something wrong with the code. you have to stomp 5 exactly. i've gotten 6 and 7 stomped tricks and no 5th grab before.

you should fix this quaz.
 
I think people are better at Gnarshmallow than me. I haven't been able to stomp 6 tricks tonight to see if I have the same problem.

There is one rule that would allow you to stomp more than 5 tricks in a run but not get the last grab which is there intentionally. I think some people know what that rule is though.
 
Sick. I just unlocked spread eagle. The easiest way is to set up a bunch of cliffs in a row.

And to Quazbotch, the guy a bit back said the loop keys dont' work. N and M don't work anymore because you've mapped spread eagle to N so now you have to use F and G.

Also, I think that some animation into and out of the grabs would look good. So it doesn't look like you instantly do the grab.

Other than that, sick game.

Character animation would be cool, but would be difficult to add in and might slow the game down. Maybe if I made an XNA version or something.
 
did you add a few feet of powder to the game? cause i just went off a cliff, and when i landed my skier was gone. he was still making tracks, but i couldn't see him! i hope he's ok...
 
I'm afraid his bits were scrambled.

This happened to that guy in Dubai once too. I think the model for the switch stance just doesn't get downloaded or or parsed properly every once in the while, so there ends up being nothing to display. Try clearing your cache, let me know if it helps.

yah im glad youre getting a little money out of it...i was one of the first people to play this game all those months back and i gotta say im super stoked that quazbotch is still improving on it, it seems to get better and better by the week now. hopefully it'll continue to develop and get more and more elaborate and fun cause it sucks not having a skiing game for xbox and shit, but this sure is a decent little alternative to that.
i think right now we need to start pushing for a park level and more realistic spinning axese(sic) like for cork and shit...but obviously no rush
oh and let us design our guy's colors!! hahaha it's obviously not really important but it might be a cool add-on for later

would it be to his advantage by putting it up on addictinggames?? might be better to keep it private and away from them.

HOW DO YOU GET THE OTHER GRABS!

i stomped 6 jumps in 1 run and all i can get is a tail, safety, and a japan

my skier doesn't dissappear anymore when going switch! and spread eagle is sick, took me some time to get it tho.
 
I feel that I need to reiterate how much I like this game, and how good it is to see it constantly getting better.

If I may suggest something, how about a layback or superman grab for my frontflips and backflips?
 
allright to start: soo much thanks for making the game

but i recently just got all the grabs, which are sick. But what happens if i close out of the window? wont i loose them all? and spend another hour trying to get them back? or is there a way to save?
 
unless he made an update that saves stuff like that, your grabs do not save. Its really not that hard to get them though, I have done it so many times now that I am getting all the grabs in one run /claim

Fallen trees and rails are on the to-do list for the next level. It will be a month or two away at this pace.

The spread eagle was really meant to be an elite hardcore Gnarshmallower ironic acheivement. I have trouble unlocking it. The safety grab has been unlocked 500x more times than it. If you can get it in your first run, you have mad Gnarshmallowing skills. I still can't 6 stomps in a run to test out that bug.

The Rossignol ad is not making me any money. It got me almost enough points to get a Rossignol sticker. Yay?

Colour picker is further down the to-do list than rails/jibs/next level, but I do want to do it.

I don't plan on promoting Gnarshmallow on major gaming sites for now. It really only appeals to certain skiers. Most nonskiers play for about 5 minutes and never come back - it won't be successful enough to earn much cash the way it is right now.

Grabs go away every time you leave the game. If you're good, you'll get them back quickly next time.
 
how bout a downloadable version? cause sometimes i get the bug to play some gnarshmallow,a dn dont ahve internet. it would be so sick if that happened.
also this is such a sick game, its awesome to see how far its gone sice the days of only 1mountain and 1 grab.
 
something i just noticed about the reset skier button, laptops, or at least macbooks do not have a home key, so we cant reset!
 
got spreads once and they are amazing. does anyone on here know anyone REALLY smart that could make gnarshmallow for ipod? and i still think a gnarrshmallow cult would do well

if it's gonna take you another month or two to do a level with jibs then i vote nobody gives you an iphone to spend time making apps instead...
and for old time's sake, can you create a bigfoot that occasionally runs out of the woods and eats you???? come onnnnnnnnn, then it could, i dunno, dance or something?

A few times I stomped exactly 5 tricks in one run, finished the run, and it didn't give me spread eagle or truckdriver. But I like the other grabs a lot, they make the game a lot more fun.
