New Ski Dice App

Hey Y'all,

Over the past month and a half or so I have been developing a new (free) ski dice app for android. I was tired of using the lite version of the other one and did not feel like it was worth two dollars for the full version. So, I decided to make my own. I am open to all suggestions to add to the app. Like maybe an IMPOSSIBRUU!!! option that will just give you an impossible trick for fun.

What I am asking of you NS, are two things. 1. Please support my app, give it a download, tell me what needs to be improved. 2. Help me test. I would like to send the app to a few people before I send it out to the world for any improvements(Beta testing pretty much). If you test I will give you +K, but since I am setting the app to free and not going to put any ads I wont give you anything else in return(Maybe a hug if you're nice).

If there is enough support on the android side, then I will start to make it for iOS too. I have an android phone and I already knew the language for android so that's why I picked android fist. Sorry iPhone people.

If you would like to test the app, please PM me or comment. I will pm you back and give you details on how I will send you my app.

Thanks for any support NS.

just went to download the lite version on the app store and who woulda known, the description image shows the time on the top of the screen as 4:20. those clever bastards

iOS version coming soon? Sounds like a cool idea, would love to see it available for iPhone as well

The only problem with iOS is that apple charges $100 a year to be able to post apps to the app store while google only charges $25 for life.

I would really just like to find someone that is already an apple developer or do some kind of kick starter to raise at least half.

Okay, goodbye.

Im totally in, Have an s5 willing to do bug/beta testing/whatever for a good replacement for that damn app. I had the lite version for a while and liked it, but it was kinda limiting because of the price.

I'd contribute to a kickstarter, or you could put it on the app store for $1 or $2, I bet 50 people would pay that for your app, then your making money

I love your support, but I won't charge because the reason I wanted to do this was because there was already an app out there, but they wanted $2 for it and you couldn't put anything fun in there.

I will be in touch soon with the people who have offered to test. I really appreciate it and I hope we can keep the support up!

Projected release date will be August 31st. Still working out some bugs and making it look prettier.

If anyone else would like to test, please PM or comment. In need of more people to test.

I think the app is really nice but i would like to be able to shake my phone to switch the trick like actual dice.

But apart from that good job

Would it be to much to ask to have a section of the app giving you a basic description of the trick it generates for you?

I agree, that'd be really cool

I'll definitely work on adding that to it, thanks for the input!

No I should be able to add that no problem. What exactly were you thinking of for a description?

Even something as simple as a picture, someone who'said new to the game may see 360 mute and not know what mute is

Then again, this seems to be more for the people that have a basic knowledge but who knows

I know people get all pissy when people create new threads so I am bumping my old one in hopes people will see this new post down here.

I am currently working on a complete overhaul of the app. Making it so you pick a difficulty in a settings category and then shaking your phone to get your next trick.

I am also bringing the app to iPhone!!!! I will probably be charging $0.99 for the iPhone app as to be an Apple Developer it is $100 a year. I will also possibly look into ads and see if I can get that and if so then it could possibly be free for iPhone. I've just always hated ads...

Anyway, should have a new one out in a month or two so look out for it and give it a download!!

I'm down. I really like the idea of the ski dice, but the original is just not good. Imo, add a lot of jibbing, like butter 3s, hand drags, and have lines options, like do 3 tricks in a row, one jib, one rail, one jump.
