new season skiis

hey im so stoked about the new season coming, but ive gotta get new skiis and bindings. ive been skiing on head mad trix for a while (i dont recomend them) with demo bindings. their trashed and too short (163). anyway im not sure what set up to get. i can spend 500 bucks at the very most. so help me out here. i want pretty fat skiis good in the park, powder, cliffs, pretty much everything. i was thinking about seth pistols with those look bindings but i dont know if they are too heavy and i think i cant afford them anyway. how are line skis? what about public enemies? what bindings? so yeah help me out oh and dont just recomend your skis just cause they are yours, only if they really are good skis. and keep in mind the 500 dollar rule. thanks

 
i dont know about bindings and skis fir $500, but the mothership flites are only $450 and they are a 90mm waist and they come in 172cm length. fujatives maybe, but im not sure about all mt.

well if your looking for a fatter ski and bindings i think you will have to break your 500 rule.

the cheapest set that comes to mind is a got a friend that spent 550 on PE's and marker bindings....personally i would just work to get some more money and buy a better set up...i worked and spent 450 on my chronics...and 200 on my look p12's its gunna be sweet. so i mean thats only 150 over your target and that is easily attainable ina weekend's worth of work or two.

yeah i could mabey spend more money but now i dont make as much with school and other stuff i dont have a ton of time but i could wait till like december and spend like 650. i also have to buy some other stuff. i just wanted to get them before the season because i my mad trix

 
get the scratch FS with look P-10's (bindings are like 189 american. That should bring u around ur 500 dollar mark. And i have skiied them, they are a good all around ski

if you want to do powder you should get the bc, not the fs...

For Line I'd recommend the Mothership Titanium.

u could get scratch bcs, in canada they are 650 so less than 500 us i guess

dude, you can get a badass setup for way less than 500. get last years p12/10s for around 100 bucks, and last years seth pistol/mothership/Scratch BC for like 3-400

just dont get a 2005 ski/binding. if you really want a 05 ski, you should still buy a binding thats a year or 2 old.

Look under the equipment forum, djxtreme has some crazy sales on line skis, i think there are a coulple of motherships too, check it out.

 
My dealer is havin a sale for 04 Scratch BC's for $250 and then you could get some of those $189 look bindings

PE's...a good all around ski at a good price, the '04-'05 is better but even last years are really good. and then u can get like a look p-10 or something, thats my setup and i thin its really good for everything i do so yea................

I spent 325 on my set up. I got last year's PE's at a shop here in atlanta for 250, and some marker bindings for 75. They mounted and tuned them for free. Just look for deals. You don't have to pay full price for everything. Look on ebay, or find some used stuff. I'm sure you could find last seasons pistols for a good price.

 
New PEs are cheap, about 350. Last year's model and last year's model of Pistols can be found dirt cheap. At a local store in Seattle, they had the old Pistols for 250!!!! Search for the deals, you will find them. And no, the Pistols are not that heavy, tons of kids jib on them including all of our riders. You just have to mount a bit forward, which you would want to do anyway. Good luck.
