The edit didn't pique my interest and wasn't as exciting or impressive as other videos coming out nowadays.

Yeah this is always what crosses my mind - their production costs must be huge, great they put it out for free

They have a reasonable budget but it's the love they have for skiing that make it what it is. You should see where it's all put together it's no huge studio that's for sure but the stuff they produce is top notch.

I dont think so yet. I believe those were all dynafit. Greg Hill used to a dynafit sponsored athlete till recently. Most people still doing those LOOOONG tours use tech bindings

Well, apparently salomon is getting into the tech game so I wouldn't count it out.

Salomon learned a lot from that time they made touring boots with tech inserts in it that didnt work/breaked/sucked.

With Greg Hill on their team it is safe to say they are working on a tech style binding but they will take plenty of time to develop something good. They did that with the Guardian, but to be honest I am not impressed with that binding. (Only for DIN sole boots, the climbing riser thing sucks, overal usability of the hike/ride switch and riser)

But I wouldnt be surprised if they have some working protos by now.

It will be interesting to see what direction they will go, something like that new Fritschi Diamir? A model to fight Dynafits Beast? Maybe a whole new system?
