Anyone else think the new Powder sucked, bad. Like what the hell, I didn't see any progression there at all, except for some stuff from Pep. Seth's rodeo's look exactly like his rodeo's last year. All I saw was a bunch of hucks to flat landings and some other lame ass stuff. MSP is also getting really old, like Focused looks exactly like SM3, which was exactly like SM2. I havent got new Freeze or Skier yet, but Powder sucked ass.

 
ya his rodeo looked the same except wait a minute he landed it! i know this sounds weird but i would say that whole article about progression had some progression in it.

Ya, he stomped it, right to his back, it was like rodeo 7 to back. I think you are supposed to stomp to you feet, I don't know, maybe that's just my opinion though.

yes if the landing is steep he could have landed at better but he still landed it even though it wasnt the cleanes landing ever it was still a major improvement from last year where he couldnt land them

I dont know, it all just seems lame to me. Hucking some ugly ass thing off a cliff, then landing on you back in some huge bomb hole on a flat landing. It's just really not that impressive to me.

its just the start of things to come man. back in the beggining, the pros tricks weren't super styly, it took time. its the same thing here.

the tricks have to come for the style to follow..... it takes time....

and that's how you land in powder man, you have to lean back, cause if you get your tips anywhere near under the snow when you land, you're going to eat it big time.

i really liked the photo section. they arent into the whole park portion of newschool, but there very into the big mountain piece. i liked the article on progression and i loved seth's rodeo 7. watch the movie Clay Pigeons. that was back when backflip 180s were the thing to do in the pipe. they evolved into the flair, which is much smoother. my point is that the rodeos will evolve and become very smooth as well

Of course I cant do them, I never said anything about what I can do. Just because Seth did it doesn't mean I have to like it. I mean Seth is a sick, sick skier, but that doesn't mean I have to think everything he does is the best. It's just my opinion. Now that sequence of Pep doing the 180 off a cliff, that was sick shit. Nice steep, clean landing, and he was even landing switch. Pep lands a 180 off like 40 footer switch to pow, and stomps it to his feet. I mean if you land on your back in the park, no one is like 'holy shit man, switch 9 to landing on back, so sick'. I just think if you dont land on your feet than it's pretty much either some huck, or a bail. I just think you got to land to your feet ya know, or else you didn't really do the trick. Anyway, whatever.

you all complain way too much, your complaining about the man who is doing the most for our sport right now. your complaing about the most progressive thing going in skiing right now. you really have no right to insult his rodeo 7 that he landed because to my knowledge nobody else can do them right now, and until you can go and do one off of a 40 foot cliff with a tail grab into 2 feet of powder and stay on your feet the WHOLE time then just stop bitching cuz he didnt grab or land perfectly on his feet, get over it.

the rodeo 7 was pretty good, but I think it goes a bit too far by saying that Seth is doing the most for the sport. I can think of a lot more people who are pushing it harder, like Pep's switch pow landings or turpins all-switch pipe run.

 
style shouldn't matter if you yourself can't do the trick itself, that's how it is with me, someone does a 3-safety, even if it is sloppy i still go WAAAAAAAAA

There's no way Pep's 180 switch pow landing in Powduh is off a 40 footer (to whomever said that above.). Check out the pic on the 3rd frame down on the left...looks more like a 20 foot cliff max than a 40 IMO.

And I dunno if he stomped it as clean as is being touted above...I mean he touches an arm down and looks like he nearly plants his face. Isn't that the equivalent of a backslap if he was riding forward??

Still COMPLETELY sick for sure though....this post is just more a comment on the previous comments.
