New Pine Marten

Got a news letter today in the mail, mt bachelor is replaceing the very hit and miss pine marten lift with an other but very new high speed quad.

ill miss the good old lift... even though it stopped often, for long periods of time

i had some damn good times on that lift, like riding it in -20 weather with 60 mph of wind and ice pellets that felt like air soft bbs every time they hit any bare skin, then of course the lift shuts down 100 feet before the top where the wind gets funneled in, mmmmmmmmmmmm. Its definatly a 4 person lift, they released it publicly.

was the lift really that bad or was it just that its location took a heavy tole on it with the way snow accumulated and the way the wind hit it.

its old it was the nations 2nd high speed quad... its been there ever since i started skiing there like 16 yrs ago

gondolas are lame, you have to take off your skis and walk up and down a bunch of stairs.

its cool that they are replacing pine martin since it can be a death trap... the bad part is that powdercorp has to get the money from somewhere... and my guess is that it will be hiking our ticket prices up.

in my opinion, leave the death trap, (pine martin is the tourist lift anyways)

and pay for a new rainbow lift. that would be sick... or atleast put a bar on it so when you slip a half inch you dont fall 300 feet to your miserable death.

they should also invest in some more interesting jibs.... bachy should be on the map by now.
