New PC Setups......

so um since i havent been able to ski for a while and wont be able to for a while, would you mind telling me which rail it is? so i can salivate about it from home?
 
Its the Star Wars double barrel. Recently it seems to have a pretty lippy take off that you have to absorb when going fast, but still super fun.

I have an idea for Kings. Where the last jump is is just too damn steep. It's either going to have to be a big step down, or nothing. In order to get a step up like everyone is dreaming about they're going to have to get twice as much snow to make that landing taller.

I think it would work if everything were moved up a little. Pretty much move each jump up to the one before it, and get rid of the first jump. So there will be 4 jumps in stead of 5.

So where that first one is would be the medium size step over (currently it's really small). Then that 40 foot true table, then I say a medium step over, then where the second to land jump is.. make that the big ass step over.. That jump is right before it gets really steep and would be good.

It's a ton of work, and more of a "built it right from the start" sort of layout, but I think it would work. In other works cram a dope 4 pack of jumps in the flatter section up top and forget about the steep part.

Either way, the parks are fun. I just don't see the steep part of kings having a really tall step over like everyone wants to see.
 
i know but i feel the need to keep insisting maybe some other slope will open but the fact is that kings and picks will be slushed the fuck out and the ridge isnt that great and the chair line and lift take wayyy longer the bananza does and we need something higher to ski on come late march

He's asking why Joneseys was closed. Obviously I've never got a chance to ride in Joneseys, but I've heard it was ski patrol who petitioned to have it closed because it's difficult to get people down the hill when they get hurt or something. and heath, I think you meant 11AM.

And i'm pretty sure they closed it for said reason, people mobin and shit, which is a given. Whatever, coops should give them the finger and build it again...

OOORRRR build it in a new spot on the upper mountain?
 
would be pretty stoke on jibs all the way to kings from payday.... but other then that i cant think of a better spot to put a park... it was perfect
 
i spoke to a park guy today about what is going to happen in spring with the parks, and he said its going to be the same as it has been all year and they are going to salt and rake a lot....

if any pc guys still read this, SALT AND RAKE FROM LIKE 12-2ish. Salting lips at like 3 is pointless, if they are salted at like 1 then there is good time before to shred them and then lose the excessive icy-ness by like 1:30 and are good to go for the rest of the day. If you salt them at 3 they are too slushy for a couple hours and barely gets good again by the time people leave.

Maybe it's just me but I dislike lips right when they are salted, but like 3 runs after they are prime usually.
 
Windy morning today. But towards the end, King's was money. The last two jumps are so floaty. Good day. Good day.
 
where do I even start? New set-ups in pick the last jump are so sick right now. That last jump is literally perfect. Kings jumps are fun, not too slushy, and the new setup for the flat starwars double barrell is the best its ever been. Most fun day of park skiing I've had in a while.

I agree, it is a very fun jump, I just feel that it was about 10 feet bigger before..which made it better for learning a few bigger tricks.
 
I fully agree Josh. I mean I don't know if it's possible to make any bigger because it's hard to clear even at the size it's currently at. But if there were any way to make it 8-10 feet bigger that would be swell.

 
top part of pick is so fun right now! the last jump is a bit odd though, it just kinda sends you out like long but flat.and the dc maybe do something else with it. you have another simalar feature set up much better up top and id like to see the dc rail as a down rail anyhow.but kings, kings is sooooo sick. stoked for more clear skies and sunshine tomorrow!
 
oh yeah. last one in pick was dangerous. It was alot like a skiercross jump. other than that, everything else is perfect. such a fun day
 
That last jump in pick is messed up. I pretty much straight lined like normal from the roller of the previous jump and I still came up short, and little to no pop from that jump is no help at all. First hit I slammed the knuckle and flew halfway down the landing.
