New PC Setups......

pick closing on monday until the pipe comp is over, wtf? Better remake that shit or something so lame.
 
kings is so much fun. those hips are money. oh and whats this shit i hear about them closing pic on monday? they better throw up something quick or else alot of people are going to be pissed
 
Unfortunately to put on this colossal event PC has to close down parts of the mountain to riders including the Eagle Superpipe beginning Saturday, January 16th, Pick’n Shovel Terrain Park and Three Kings’ Chair will close beginning Monday, January 18th. The park and pipe will reopen a few days after the event for a mid-season overhaul.
 
meh its not that great, basically a little longer version of joansey's. 4 or 5 really small jumps, tree tap, fat flat box, mini "cannon" box, rainbow box, flat bar, down box. all the features are really small and since gotcha cutoff is closed it takes two lift rides to get back over to kings or pick.
 
wish brighton park crew put in as much work as you guys ha no lips to anything there, no jumps but i can understand that thought but still ha.
 
Just a thought if you are looking for input, I think it would be dope to make the step up to step down in kings into a normal jump (and/or a sick up rail!) because you really can't do tricks on that set up and still have speed for the jump after it. Just putting that out there if you are planning on changing things up at some point.

Also is joneseys completely done now or getting new rails later??
 
I've got a couple ideas for you jeremy

1. like vinny said, take out the step up to step down. creative feature, but it really fucks up the speed for the next jump (which i really like) and if it was a normal jump or an up feature id be stoked on it. Or even just rebuild it to make it better, but id rather see a normal jump

2. i feel like the first two jumps after the rails could be at least 5-10ft bigger, you can go SO BIG on the second jump the deck could be 15ft longer. also, the landings coud be a few degrees steeper.

3. rebulding pick right? maybe now since there is a small park, you could build bigger jumps in pick? maybe some bigger rail features too? it would be ill to have a full medium park and not just a medium park with 1/2 small features

youre killin it in my book though Jeremy. the park is sooo on point having so much fun every day i ski look forward to more!
 
Parks are illin. But yeah... maybe just a jump rather than the step up to step down thang. And I think pic is pretty solid... Id say the only change needed is getting that jump back where the flat box and rail are now. Keep the 5th the same or just make it a little bit bigger. Its money though. Keep it!
 
The parks are super fun (stoked to see the new Pick layout). It would be ill if the landings on the last two in kings could get a little steeper, or maybe the jumps just a little more true table style (less step down). They're dope, but the landings just hurt me sometimes. Other than that, everything is dope.
 
We are planning to switch up kings.... Making a few things bigger for sure. We have a crazy schedule with the grand prix right now, but as soon as it is over we will be switching up pick too. Its been tough to change pick due to lack of snow.... We figured mother nature was gonna bail us out by now.... The last two jumps in there need to be much bigger. The plan after the prix is to winch all the leftover snow up hill and fix those two jumps. With this little bit of snow gotcha will open and fix the problem with the upper park access. Enjoy!
 
the first part pf kings needs some work, its the big park so it be sick to have some big rail features instead of picnic tables and a little c rail
 
I agree. I really liked that A-Frame that was set up it would also be sweet if the enormous trap box could get set up somewhere. The parks are alll so dope just need new rail and box features perhaps c- box, i like the offset box feature. overall killing it jeremy!
 
word on switching up kings! def need some bigger rails set something up thats got alot of option but also alot of flow to just roll from one to the next. then throw some crazy shit along the side but wont get in the way of the flow. stoked for a pic rebuild to... i really hope all the jumps are like that last one pretty poppy and smoth and as few stepdowns as possible but good as job as of yet!
 
por que!! that last jump jump in pick was so perfect and it has been replaced by a blue metal box light machine!!. Im not really freaking out but if you could put that jump back when you guys are done that would so sweet
 
There are sooo many jibs just sitting around at that storage place, I can't even imagine the possibilites of better rail setups at the top of Kings. Maybe 2 seperate lines with 3 features each. Also why not a disaster rail or street style rail where that log jib is. I hate having to stop and wait to drop, and i hate just skiing throgh cuz you feel like your snaking with all those people standing around.
 
put a rail going into the wave/wallride thing in kings that could be cool, maybe even angled would be sick
 
yo, whats the word. looks like pick still isnt open? i asume it will open friday but any word on whats going in it and when the kings rebuild is? the blog hasnt been updated since before the grand prix
 
well i am by far not an official word but! they had like 3 cats working on pic today. so id assume by friday is a good guess. then id assume they would go to kings after that. they have done a few things in kinngs. added a hip or two and steepened landings, but i hope they change rails around and what not. pic looks like its coming together nicely though!

any word at all? any one go up today know how the set up is lookin? still no blog update and ill be super pissed if shit doesnt open up tomorrow. got me some brand new park sticks and im lookin to lay it down in the pipe with some brand new edges! its gunna be like 40 and sunny so id say its a good park day if shit opens up

went up today. pic is sooooooo fun minus there are 4 urban style down rails. a true waste IMO. jump line is sick! five in a row. first is prob 15, second 20, third 25-30, forht 35-38, five 40-42 or so! all so fun! oh and they have two real dumb flat boxes at the top. like honestly they have dope rails why not set them up. honestly
 
i was really impressed with the jump line in pick. way better flow and solid sizing on those jumps. the rail sitation however is whack. really that man urban downs? so much for variety. there is so much unused room at the bottom where that crazy box used to be, i dont get why it isnt utilized
 
i wouldnt worry about rails. My guess is they wanted to open today and their main concern was the jump line so they threw in a few dumb rails to take up space for the time being. THat'll change probably by tomorrow and the park will be so legit.Jumps are fun
 
the landing of 2nd / inrun to the third was a little funky... but honestly not far from perfect, i had no trouble with it yesterday.
 
Could be great with few more boxes and rails at Payday, maybe a long flat box and a long flat rail.

Also a full box line at the new small park would be sick, maybe with some longer boxes and rails. And maybe do the jumps a little more like the new ones a Pic.

Other than that the set-ups are pretty sweet, the new jumps at Pic looks so mellow.
