Newry, ME - In the action sports world, a popular saying is "go big or
go home." Freeskiing legend Simon Dumont is now going big and going
home with a new partnership with Maine's Sunday River ski resort.

Born
into a family of skiers in the nearby small town of Bethel, Dumont has
been skiing Sunday River since his childhood. It was where Dumont honed
his talents, and the first resort to witness the then three-year old
ski prodigy outshine everyone on the slopes.
Last April, Dumont
made history at Sunday River when he set the world record for height on
a quarterpipe, soaring 35.5 feet in the air.
As part of this new
relationship, Dumont has plans to co-design a signature terrain park
with Sunday River’s park crews and launch an international ski
competition that will bring some of the ski industry's best to Sunday
River.
“I am thrilled to be joining forces with Sunday River,"
Dumont said. "I’ve skied all over the globe, but there is nothing like
skiing there. It truly is home to me. I am looking forward to
introducing it to the rest of the world.”
