high gas is good, maybe if enough people get pissed about gas prices, some sort of progress will be made on the alternative fuel front.

i know you guys are just kidding around but with a bad hurricane about to hit, all you guys can think about is high gas prices and looting? yeah because looting is so funny. what about all the evactuees? how bout saying i hope everyone stays safe?

i'm currently on a navy base where were holding hundreds of military evactuees.

i seriously want to go to new orleans after it hits for relief efforts. I'm actually insanely worried for the people still there. I think it's everyones responsibility to help out other places in a time of need like this.

 
So instead of thinking about the high gas prices the hurricane will cause, think about all those people that are going to homeless AGAIN, three years later almost to the date there is another cat 5 hurricane going to hit this poor city. We should be praying for them!!
 
nah but in all seriousness I really do feel awful for the residents of N.O. to think all this time spend rebuilding, and now complete devastation again. Really hope people do alright, parts of texas and even to florida may be affected too

You sound like my father but he sells tractors to government agencies in southern louisiana so he is hoping this thing is going to rape louisiana. I don't give a shit about what he wants if I were pat robertson and could steer hurricanes with my prayers I would make it go somewhere else because it would raise fuel prices and then the economy would get fucked eventually leading to me not skiing as much or something like that.
 
^ i used to waste my money on pokemon cards charmander. Pokemon was the most addicting thing ever. At the time, I thought i was the only kid whit a charizard, but a few years ago i learned that pretty much almost everyone had it.
 
yeah, i got a scooter and i gotta pay the gaz, for sure its cheaper but still i dont chek the gaz prices even if i had a car, if you have a car then you should be able to pay for the gaz and ima repeat it, in europe they pay their gaz soooo much and they alwasy did and they never whined so shut up and pay your gaz or take the bus and stop destroying the planet so we can get snow for at least a couple more years eh
 
The worst thing is that New Orleans hasn't even finished being rebuilt yet..and they are going to cop it again..

People that have just finished resettling after Katrina, just got their houses built from nothing and it could all be a repeat episode..

I would HATE to be an insurance company based in that area - they would have only just recovered too, and doomsday is on its way, again.

I think the people who are best off in this situation are the ones who saw this coming again and decided to move to a different state. Sure, it sucks big time that the were rooted out of their homes, but at least those guys don't have to go through it all again.

higher gas, better incentive to make green tachnology a reality.

maybe the people in nola will get the fucking picture this time and quit living there.
 
some kids on this site need to fucking grow up. how can you find it so ammusing that people were evacuated from there homes (if they were lucky) loosing some family, having to leave there normal life and live in a fuckin trailer or some bullshit like that for a couple years and now some of them that go back to there homes, have to basicly start from fucking scratch and have to be evacuated again years after katrina. are you kidding me. have a fucking heart

Go fuck yourself. If you don't live in america than you don't understand our lifestyle. We commute by vehicle everywhere. We can't just change our infrastructure over night. I have ridden the bus most of my life and I finally get a car and now this shit happens.

^^ i live in canada smart ass, and i can go where i want with a bus, and you prolly can in usa 2, yeah it takes more time but if your 2 poor to pay 5 more bucks in your car then take the dam bus and btw you cant put the extra like 10 bucks a month of gaz in your car but you can put like 50 bucks in beer and dope per month... is there a problem?
 
You have never been to new orleans have you? It is like another world. There is so much invested down in there as far as tourism that you can't expect those people to move. Most of the people did move but the real new orleans people love it and will never move. The mimes and strippers love it. I can't say the same for the peeps who lived in 9th ward though. Some people should move but the people in the tourism industry have a lot of opportunity down there.

Extra 10 bux a month? are you fucking kidding me? More like an extra couple hundred. I live in a commuter city. My school is 10 miles away, I carpool with my friend but I am not riding the bus this year. People sometimes spend thousands of dollars a month on gas. You really don't understand the situation if you think people use 10 dollars worth of gas.

i went to new orleans last summer and it was probably the best experience of my life. i went down there with a big group of people and we helped tear down and build a bunch of houses.

that place needs help

it had been about 2 years since katrina hit when i was there and every house in almost every neighborhood was torn to shit and evacuated, on the front there was spraypaint with how many people were living in the house and how many bodies were found dead, there were water lines taller than me and the houses were 50 miles off shore.

shit gets wild and crazy, all the people we helped were rediculously nice and greatful, and a lot of people think that new orleans should just be abandoned but they dont want to, not because they are ignorant or unaware that they could be utterly fucked at any given time, but its because that is where they grew up and they dont wanna leave their homes, which in some ways is a bit crazy when things get extreme, but still understandable.

im not saying this to try and get every person on here to go down there, but if you get the opportuity, i think you should take it.

imagine if your house got propper fucked.
