New ON3P Skis Lineup!

Obviously, there's some trial and error in making skis. But the neat thing about doing this is that, over time, we can fix some of the stuff that bothers us. The fact that many things changed for next year (differing tip shapes, rocker patterns, sidecuts) indicates that we did have problems with how things were before, and now we've done what we can to fix it. No long park skis on the market? 186 Jmo. A hole in our line between the Jmo and Caylor? Jeffery. Not enough rocker on our prototype Pillowfights? We add more. Strange difference between the 181 and 191 Wrens at speed? We redo the sidecut on the 181.
I know people with contracts from large manufacturers who get no say in the design of their skis. You don't have to believe me, but I've always been involved in the design of the skis I get to ride. The Pillowfight really is the result of Josh, Rowen, and I sitting around slightly drunk and above-averagely interested in a colossal pow ski.
The hard part with your question about the negatives is that this is our new line, and we've fixed everything that we can for now. We have to coast on that success and enjoy the progress we've made before we get cynical, call ourselves dumbasses, and figure out how to change what we fucked up.

I had a long reply written out then my internet failed. :(

But, Similar to what David said, anytime there is any type of problem, we give input and it's fixed.

I haven't had a chance to ski any of the large, more charging skis, but Have a few days on the BlueSteele, Filthy, Caylor and Jeronimo.... most of by days being on the Caylors and Filthy Rich.

I liked the Blue Steele for the most part, but what most of the team had problems with was the stability while carving off the takeoff of jumps. This year they changed it and made the Filthy. With the infinite turn radius and more gradual rocker, it locks in on take offs and feels more solid.

The Caylor is perfect, and should remain untouched.

But like David said, it's awesome how receptive Rowen and Scott are about problems or concerns with the skis. They come to us asking what they should change, and half the time I say nothing. Hopefully next year I can have more days on more of the skis and give some more reviews. If anyone has any questions about the Filthy Rich or Caylors, don't hesitate to hit me with a PM.

:)

The great thing about what The ON3P crew does is that the people who will be buying their ski's have input into the design. They listen to what NS'ers and Maggot's say when they design their shit.

Def gonna get some BG's

now i want to wait until some more reviews on the MFD Alltimes come out, to decide my binding choice.

Good reps are good for buisness, and listening to how 100 day+ skiers want a ski to ski makes for a damn good ski.

they totally do. Hence the soft caylor option and the 186 jmo. Those guys definitely know how to listen. Scott, rowen and kip are all well in touch with their clientele
