New oakley site is up, i hate it

All the new gear is up and I'm extremely disapointed, they seem to lack colors, 95% of their stuff is just shells, the descriptions are awfull, they talk more about the PVC label and whatever logo, who gives a fuck about the logo sticking out on your jacket, jesus christ! They describe their jackets with all thsi technical mumbo jumbo that doesn't mean shit to someone who doesn't work for Oakley. I can't tell what's insulated, is the Trace insulated or not? is the Anorak? and those holes on the side? I was gonne buy it but now I KNOW, and I KNOW, if I do, I'm going to rip the shit out of it.

the anorak jacket was suprisingly cheap, i thought it would be like 500 bucks, but it seems as though it doesn't have any vents, unless those little hole things are vents?

siver, oakley has gone substantially downhill...i have the Unobtanium jacket and love it, but since then nothing has been too impressive to me

I will admit I am pretty disappointed. Why is the khaki such a dark color? I love the stone/white colors they have had, but they seem to have disappeared :/

If you can't understand the description of jacket features on Oakley's website, you lack the basic knowledge necessary to make an intelligent jacket purchase, and are most likely a moron who buys his jacket based 100% on what it looks like.

Rag on their styles if you like, but their jacket descriptions are, for the most part, packed with basic info useful to the average consumer. The only things they might be missing are the actual waterproof ratings of their fabrics, and what those fabrics actually are(gore tex, Event, house brand/generic, etc).

They used to tell you the waterproofing through the name and had:

I am not sure if they are still using this scale in 05, haven't looked yet but if you buy old stuff look at the tag and you will know.

I don't get5 what all this fuss about Siver is, I mean Oakley isn't great but neither is Siver, the whaterproofing is weak and the breathability lacks alot. go with some spyder or phenix jackets (psyrus for freestyle) and now you're talking good jackets

 
and even on a cheaper price-point, orage kicks ass, and I still don't get why they're not selling that much, they should be everywhere on the newschool scene

For all you who HATE this years Oakley lineup. Have you even tried any of the clothes on yet. This is BY FAR AND AWAY Oakley's best year. The coast including the puffy, are fucking insane. Try them out when they hit stores. I guarantee you will love them once you put them on. I wore this years line all last winter and was like holy shit, best coats ever, and sick style.

 
predators gear is all 20,000mm waterproofing...for an oakley jacket that high in waterproofing your gonna have to sell the house. The freeride gear is built super durable as well...just take a minute and check out predatorwear.com ...the colors and styles are the shit...

the jackets themselves look alright, but what the fuck is with all these earth tones? The colours suck as do the mixes, no just regular navys or reds, black's the only solid colour they have, and yellow and olive green? christs sake. The didn't fix the zipper on the detonator, and they sell the airvantage vest separately, for 250 USD? I don't know, I think Oakley's designs peaked 2 years ago.

BTW, what happened to this fabled one-piece that was so hyped up?

They're both dumber than bricks... I don't care how hot they are, I wouldn't bone them even if they kept their damn mouths shut. I'd probably get a nasty case of sexually transmitted stupidity.

I really liek teh olive green colro alot. I think the pants are relaly nice looking but not so muhc teh jackets.

I got the night camo anorak jacket, and i think its pretty damn sick, a little long tho for a short guy, but thats the way its sposed to be, anyway i was also confused about the lining and couldn't tell if it was insulated till i put it on (i found out its bitchin warm) but anyway, i think sum of the stuff is pretty damn steezy - just my loner oppinion tho
