New NW Super Pipe

old news but yes that is sick

Ebay has everything from blow up sex dolls to philipino sex slaves to skis to wives. it has all the bases covered

Why isn’t there a knife on a spork? What would you call a spork with a knife on it?

Low Summit Kicker Posse

Does that mean the park is going to get worse?

Its not how good you ski, but how good you look in the lift line that counts.

Haha, what I meant was: it sounds like they will be putting a shit load of work into the SP, which I assume will take away from the park, which is sadly the best in WA, not to say that it sucks, just in comparison to real parks. Last time I checked it was a five minute drive from Alpental to Snoqualmie and Ski Acres, I don't care what they're called now Summit North South or something. I think my point has been made.

Alpentalik check the post in NW parks next season. Stevens although not nationally known (yet) does have the biggest and best park around. It would help if everyone quit their silly bitchin' and actually gave some constructive critisism (sp?). We all want the same thing sometimes it just takes time. Be patient.

Thats what I said...Stevens has the best park in WA, but I'm also saying that such a statement isn't saying much. As for criticism focus equal attention on the super pipe (assuming it will get a lot) on the park as well.

Wow, I'm sounding like a ten year old...if you want my opinion message me...also talk to svwingnut (he rides for Stevens) he is the authority on this.

I’m off on a rok-it-ship ecstatic with the view

I am scared of the things upcoming

And I want for the things I don’t have

Cannot stand to be one of many

I’m not what they are

Ive been hitting the stevens super pipe until I choke for the last couple years... the side walls are getting pretty resinated though.

Buy me, cut me, in the middle, with a razor, empty me out, add the green flavor.

Yes. Superpipe will be sick. As long as the maintenence is solid. By this I mean...it's done regularly and with a WINCH CAT....otherwise you get a lot of irregularities in the wall.....bubbles and holes......also, the pipe needs to be on a much steeper pitch than the other pipe.....I think it's gonna be at the bottom of Big Chief....above the Yert where the snowskate park was....if so, it'll have it's own rope tow.

As for the park....it is the best in WA, but there are still some serious issues. You can't see from one hit to the other in most places. You can't stop after one hit and still have enough speed for the next one. The landing on the big booter gets way too flat. The landing on the hip gets way too flat. The rails are in a flat section so you have to hit all or just one. We need bigger rails, especially the rainbow. The biggest park problem is the Layout. If the trees between the bottom split in the park were cut out....it would help a lot. Open up more area for kickers and make everything more visible. There's other things too, but those are the main ones. It's still a pretty good park. It just needs some improvements.

What do you think about the main part of the Park coming off of Hog's Back down blue trail? Steeper the whole way, natural barriers, natural terrain. Also I was at the Telus Fest at whistler in April and I checked the slope of their super pipe, which was 16-17 degrees, which is what ours will be. Unfortunately you are still going to have to hike, It's good for your knees you know.

That sounds pretty good. As long as things link up and you can stop before most of the hits and you can see a bunch of hits from one place. Sounds like you guys have been planning pretty hard. It's nice to have a Mt. that's behind this shit....

Where's the Superpipe gonna be?

u mean having the park flow down from hoggs to daisy. that would be pretty sweet you could build up that roller you always rope off and the park could be spilt just like the current one

Couldn't flow it into Daisy, but there is a possibility of other hits/features on different parts of the mountain. I'm talking about blue trail which is to your left as you are riding up the chair.

um isnt that usually used for setting the race course besides the one on chief?

Haha...'Not if there's a park there.' Now that's what we like to hear. Not that racing is bad....all kids should race for a few years and learn how to ski right. But it's damn nice to know there's a mountain that's willing to try and do it all.

Where is the Superpipe gonna be?

Same place as the old 1/2 Pipe. There was talk about doing the regular and the super size but I haven't heard the plan lately.

Where the old one was? It's too flat over there. Man, what happened to the bottom of Big Chief Chair? Seriously, it's way too flat where the old one was. You need a steeper pitch to compensate for the bigger walls.....It's a speed issue. Unless there's some plan I don't know about, putting it there is a big mistake.

Tyler the bigger walls are what create the speed. Check my earlier post on angles in this thread. It should be just fine.

Bigger walls...that's true to a point. But you still need a steeper pitch. Anyhow, just so everyone knows, the Stevens people told me that they're doing dirt work this summer to get the right pitch and whatnot. Gonna be sweet.
