New NS logo...

so does this mean classic logo stickers will still be available? i like the new one a lot though props.
 
Oh alright fair enough, I thought this was going to be thee new official logo and everything on the site was going to change to be with the new one
 
Exactly my feelings. I love the secrecy of the old one. But the new one is easier to see and I could see that having its uses too. Both are useful.
 
Can we go back to the 2002 Logo?

the graffiti logo was awesome. i am so glad somebody still has a picture.

and i am also glad i just got present day NS and newschoolers.com stickers in the mail.
 
i like all the logos. the new one people will be able to see and understand i guess

but the previous one was/is awesome because if you didnt know what ns is you didnt need to

i agree with bishop in the sense that the s needed to be more pronounced, people kept seeing my old yellow shirt and asking what the logo was, they said it looked like a camera.....wtf?
now it's obviously an N and an S just fused together
other than that i think i like the old one better
 
It always looked like a bloody camera to me. Just to point out, the S in the new logo looks exactly the same as the S in the magicseaweed logo.
 
I like the old one.

The new one might grow on me, but I doubt it. The secrecy of the old makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside. The new one makes me feel...well, not all warm and fuzzy inside.

The old logos going to be around for a while. You'll still be able to buy the old stickers and the classic logo tee.
 
i hope they dont get rid of the old one as the official...its waaay better than the new one. its like the most original logo out there, everyone asks me about it

The old one was better. But this new ns is also not bad. - I just would adapt it a little bit.

The upper left part of the "n" is a little bit too dominant. The "s" disapears behind the n, so it looks like the "n" is more important then the "s". I think it would be enough to just narrow the left vertical part of the "n" a bit. I would also make the round part inside the "n" in a smaller radius (so the part on the upper left gets a bit less massive).

Just my opinnion though. All in all I think the new design is way better then the old one. Also the new T´s are sick! Good job.

as for my thoughts on the new logo, It doesn't speak to me in the same way as the old one simply because I joined NS with the old logo and associated the site solely with that one.

I was unaware that there had ever been other logos, which makes me realize that we'll get over this change and learn to embrace the new logo. because obviously that' happened before.
 
Yeah man, you got it! For sure this has happened before, there's been a bunch of logos over the years. Logos change constantly, just like graphics on skis.

I loved the first 1080 ski graphic. That ski was when I rode my first twins, did my first switch 3, first year at High North, First Rail, first halfpipe... I'm nostalgic as hell about them.

However, I don't bash Salomon for coming out with the Foils, the Dumonts or the Suspects... all of those are amazing skis.

Sure I've got nostalgic love for the past (and got the re-launch of the 1080 last year because I wanted that classic vibe) but I love where things are at now.

We're working on the final touches of the new NS as well right now... so the new logo will also be integrated on the site.

Hopefully people don't bash the new layout too much... though I'm sure we'll get some of it. :) The guys at the office party last friday seemed to like it though, right?

 
I think theres honestly no way to release a new logo without it getting hated on. Personally i think the new logo is more legible and has got more of a futuristic feel to it.. if that means anything.anyways, im all for it, change is good!
