-mates of state is so good, i just saw them live.

-rainer maria. sweet, but not too sweet. and smart, but not too smart.

-brendon benson... listen to 'tiny spark' and try not to smile, i dare you.

-the appleseed cast, low level owl volumes one and two... all pretense aside, this is super chill music. the kind that just sounds better if its raining out.

-pavement. they just reissued 'slanted and enchanted' so if you don't already own it, go get it.

wow, thanks guys. i already listen to most of the bands mentioned but a few i've never heard of. and yah, piebald's new album is really kick ass. i love it. i'm not a big fan of the donnas. personally, i think they suck, but tsunami bomb is one of my favorites.

All Hayden is pretty good. Saw him w/ Julie Doiron at Convocation Hall in Toronto. It was raining really hard and the roof of the Hall is all glass. During Julie Doiron's parts (if you can find her music, I ensure you it is very beautiful and quiet) you could hear the rain pounding against the glass. Bon Jovi can't buy atmosphere like that..... Now get Neil Halstead 'Sleeping on Roads' (album) He is the singer in Mojave 3, it is his solo, and I like it a lot. Okay some more:
