New Mormon Approach?

Most Mormon people I know are super chill and awesome.

Like anything there is always nutters in the group.

I dont fucking care if hes morman or not, I want to meet him and ask him to teach me to skate. that was sick.

is it just me or does it look like hes wearing a red thong in alot of those shots..?

i dont care what religion you are just dont rub it in my face, he seems like a legit guy

I think it's pretty good. I mean the skating was sick. I think people would be more receptive to the message after watching that than people handing you flyers and that kind of stuff.

damn that wallie 5-0 was sick, the wallride was crazy. my grandparents are mormon but i dont go to church, does that make me mormon by default on a survey?

ok, im not generally a rabidly anti-religion, though i am a raging atheist, but that one question, "What have you done successfully to shield your family from unwanted

influences?" makes me think mormonism is a little fucked up. Josh's reply was perfect though.

You need to chill. He wasn't going to your door saying that you're wrong. or shit like that. He just stated how he felt the church had helped him and other people and just skated.

well when you think about it we all shield our families from unwanted influences.

example:

dont come home smashed with hookers and then chill with your kids.

this should be common sense.

/not mormon at all

i have a feeling that it is not quite that broad. more like, not letting them listen to rap music, or look at youtube, or go to the city, because there are billboards with the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue cover on them.

i have plenty of friends that are mormon and every one of them are chill i smoke drink whatever but they dont mind as long as i dont try to get them to do it aint nothinn buut a chicken wang

Come to the city...? We're talking mormons here, not the fuckin Amish. Way to make yourself sound like the sheltered one.

i dont really know, shitty post. i guess we all have them. i just think the "unwanted influences" thing makes it sound like they are encouraging crazy overprotective parenting. again, i have nothing against mormonism. my counselor at camp was a mormon, probably the coolest, most chill counselor ever. plus she had a crazy good mini speaker system...

Just joshin you man. I know what you were getting at. It definitely happens, but i wouldn't say its any worse than some baptists and presbys. Fanatics on anything. I was raised LDS, but my fam

knew i was never into it, so they didn't push. I got the good story, others have bad. In fact my dad just had me put Regulators on his iPod, he listens to tons of old hip hop and his favorite movie is Friday. This is a 58 yr old guy who just finished serving an intercity mission mind you.

mormons are chill as hell
used to go to morman parites, which was kinda funny when you'd be the only one who's like let's do shots!
haha good times

The problem about that is that some people's religions tell them to make everyone join their religion.

Yeah, Mormons are the shit. I know this one family and they are the sweetest people, I went to school with both of the sisters. They weren't even like weirded out that I'm gay either, totally chill and accepting. I'm trying to figure out if we have and LDS cannery around here to stock up on wheat with

haha I still remember the last great Mormon thread on NS.
