New Moment Tahoes!

So my wife took our daughter out to get a new ski setup for her B-day (shes only 8 but a pretty damn good skier) and ended up getting me a new set of Moment Tahoes and i didnt even ask her too. she said ill never make my mind up on my own so she suprised the hell out of me with them. The shop was awesome they had them mounted up in like 6 hours or so, she was there at 11 and we had both sets by 5.

Im 5'11" 198lbs, she bought me the 188's and mounted them with sth 14's at +4 from midsole. How do you guys think they will peform like that? I skied them yesterday and it was nothing but heavy clumped powder. They were okay. Very fast, but hard to release sometimes coming out of turns. They would grab an edge and hang on to it hard. All in all, i need a few more days out to get a good review, im still half and half on the length, i think i would have been much happier with the 180's. What do you guys think on the mount and size??

Oh yeah and my daughter got a set of 118Cm Volkl Bridge Jr's, with a new set of Nordica Supercharger boots. She likes them so far.

im about 5'11 200 lbs and i just got some 177 bridge's, before that i was riding 177 skogens for 3 years, 188 seems huge to me, it will probably take some getting used to but there def skiable, i personally wouldnt go over 180 myself though...

I would ski them a few more times, but if they still feel really catchy I would consider moving the mount back.

Any reason you went +4?

and you are definitely tall/big enough for the 188. Gotta remember the skis have a twin so they ski shorter.

I think you would far outski the 180cm.

+ 4 from midsole? I don't get where you're bindings are mounted...where is midsole on the tahoes in relation to the center?...
Anyway I definitely don't think 188 is too big...I'm your height and I weigh 165 - 170 and I ride 185 walls for only park...
But like iggy said, try them a few more times and see how they feel...

Im def. going to ski them a couple more times. Midsole i believe is -6 from center. It wasnt my choice completly, she knows i usually mount foward for better switch skiing and shit, and the shop rat suggested them to her. im pretty happy with where they are, maybe a +2 or 3 woulda been better but what the hells a cm or two between friends ya know.

Seems pretty basic but have you detuned your edges at the tip and tail yet?

Also, they are suggest to be mounted 7cm back from true center.

Lots of people mount them center though...you should be fine.

World cup is hella nice if you want a remount theylle prolly give you one free kus ive gotten free mounts from them before

it took me about 10 runs to get used to my tahoes which is a lot, they take a little getting used to but once you get it they fucking rip. i have mine mounted +2 give or take from recommended, i asked for them on the line but due to holes that were already there they had to push them up a centimeter or 2. they felt a little strange the first few times but just keep skiing them and it'll click. i didn't have trouble getting off edge as much as the skis wanting to go in 2 different directions. once i got the hang of them they're dope

How do tahoes ski in the park?
im looking for an all mountain ski that can still shred in park, that i will get next season. I know bibby was throwin down on them in turbo.
Any imput on this?
these skis are super dope saw the tahoes when i was in tahoe at porters tahoe
