New Mexico

not so much this season or last, but i grew up skiing taos. angelfire sucks except for thier gimp park (sadly its the best in NM)

I ski NM and lets just say you learn to have fun in little snow and on slow lifts... but it takes a while.

Here are some early season shots from Ruidoso, NM. As far as I'm concerned, everyone who is hating on NM can stay in Colorado and leave it to us.

I hit up pajarito mostly but use my free passes to angel fire and sipapu too. Only sipapu at the beginning of the year when no where else is open

Taos is an awesome mountain!! some of the gnarliest terrain i have ever skied in the US. definitely a real skiers destination...not some bullshit resort like most places these days.

I typically ski Taos, Sipa, Pajarito and AF each year a few times each. Taos is sic of course, the others are fun with lots of Pow and when they don't have it, still can be fun, just gotta be creative and make your own. Little bird's cool, nice little terrain park...too bad it never really opened this season

Really want a spend a month exploring all the NM resorts

How off are I on these rankings

1. Taos

2. Angel Fire

3.Ski Santa Fe

4. Apache

5. Sipapu

6.Red River

7. Pajarito

8. Red River

9. Sandia Peak

Interested because my parents are eventually moving to Santa Fe...I'll be out East and will want to make the most of my trips out there as it pertains to shredding

Close enough. I haven't skied everywhere on your list, but I would say Taos is by far the best and Sandia Peak is by far the worst. Everywhere else is a wash depending on what you like to ski.

I was just out at Red River last week and it was ridiculously good. Left the East Coast snow to bathe in the Lucky Red River snow that landed.

Depends on what you are looking for. If you are looking for park then Red River and Taos are the way to go. They are consistently growing their parks. Angel Fire is a solid next choice. Pajarito is great as well but they take a while to get things set up.

If you want gnarly terrain, then go to Taos. Santa Fe can offer some steep stuff but its typically crowded and slow. Pajarito is a blast with no flat spots. It offers plenty of fun tree skiing with no lift lines. Angel Fire is catered more to the Texas crowd with long groomed runs. You can still find some fun stuff to hit but you really have to look.
