supposedly, according to commercial, can SENSE the accident seconds b4 it happens and closes the windows in preperation. now i ask, HOW THE HELL does it 'sense' an accident, and how does it close the windows that fast!!!

any1 care to explain?

it actually senses whether or not you're going to have an accident as soon as you get in the car. it measures your intelligence and driving ability based on a series of scans and corresponding algorithms that factor in things like the way you're dressed, the size of your brain, what kind of shoes you wear, how long it's been since you last shaved, etc.

it probably has some way it calculates proximity of other cars or objects and compares that to how fast you are approaching them. as for the windows they must fucking fly up as fast as an air bag blows out, so i guess watch your arms?

yeah i feel like it would be dangerous for if someone had their arm out the window would just get chopped

i'm pretty sure that if you got into an accident while you're arm was hanging out the window, there's a good chance it would get chopped anyways.

only depends in certain circumstances. i doubt if you go through an intersection and someone runs a red light and you get t-boned it won't sense that.

but if you are about to have a collision that you are aware you take evasive manouevers which puts front ,rear and lateral g's on the car. as well as pressure being applied on the brakes and any tilting in the vehicles axis which is not normal for daily driving conditions.

I think the new collision smart frames car companies have developed are more impressive. There is a locking bar that can uphold like thousands of newtons of force, I don't remember the exact number. As soon as the car senses a hard collision about to hit, it slams the locking bar in place between the frame in under like a tenth of a second, and it can absorb almost all of the force of the accident. It's pretty ridiculous.

I think it has some kind of system that can measure the distance to an object from the car. Lets say you're driving behind someone and they suddenly steps on the breaks. This system will probably react faster then any human and hit the breaks for you those milliseconds will save some lifes.

And i bet the windows wont close completely if youhave your arm hanging out. If you have electric windows in your car, try rolling it up while your hand is blocking it. In most cars the windows wont go up if something is blocking it. Put an apple in there if your afraid of your hand/arm.
