ableton is quite complex, there are shitloads of great tutorials though

ok so when you drag your clip into garage band it is orange right? if it isn't its purple...if it IS orange select the track and click control+alt+g...it should turn purple. from there go to the bottom left of the screen where there should be a little scissor...click on that and it brings up follow tempo and pitch, limit key and enhance timing. to speed up slow down, select follow tempo pitch (make it checkmarked in the box) from there, go to the very bottom right next to the play, fast forward rewind pause buttons are...click on the far left box where you can say "click to choose other LCD modes"...select that and go to "project" at project it says tempo and going higher will speed up the song, lower will slow it down...hope this helps! PM me if you need anymore help

unless your doing anything too advanced and picky garage band is a great software i actually prefer the simple layout over other high performance softwares if you dont need the extra tools. That being said if you need a more powerful software check out abelton and protools you should also be able to find some donwload links online
