ggod luck boys, you have alot to live up too, with shelby building the park this year, we are making alomost a million cubit feet of snow for 3 jumps, and put $3,000 into lexon plastic, and $5,000 into steel, not to mention the man hours the garage guys put in on the side that saved us the time.

SO how big is your wall rides, we have 3 witht the biggest @ 18' by 32'

perfect north slopes has 60 degree weather, 8 days of solid rain, and almost no snow, beat those park conditions......

i think its kinda pointless to compare the two, marquette is a great place to ride, so is snowtrails, i think everyone should go to both places and have a good time

MM must be somewhat sick if you are comparing your resort in 'ohio' to it. Thats for all of you who say MM sucks. Do like reedy says, go ride. Having good shit to ride doesnt make you good. Oh yea.... Bittersweet is the shit.

 
In using the comparison Snow Trails to MM as a valid and solid park. It is understood that the author has a said respect for MM. I also think it is bad ass though i was only there once!! Snow Trails is where i ski though and unfortunately a 10 hour drive to Marquette is too long so for an Ohio resort with its space is amazing. IF you come to the traisl this season once the weather and power is returned it will be the shit

Pete is currently sulking around Mt. Hood, shooting with Poor Boyz Productions and hitting on Kristi Leskinen. She hates guys, Pete lamented, so it’s not going good. Apparently Canada isn’t the only thing that’s tough for Pete to get into.

Everytime I've ever been to Marquette BESIDES the spring it was EXTREMELY icy. I live an hour and a half away and I still haven't gone this year though because Mt. Ripley has a 50 ft hip/table to a 40 to a 35 to a 30, plus plans to build a 40-50-60 line on another run and tables for the sliders. Not bad for having 2 old groomers and a VERY small budget from MTU.

I dont know half of you half as well as I should like, and I like less than half of you half as well as you deserve.
 
the comp is going to be super fun it always is, its a big air at like 7:30 at night, a shitload of people, dj, and a party afterwards, winner gets a mt. dew vending machine, so hot right now, its a trek from marquette though, like 10 or 12 hours, come for sure if you are up for a bear of a roadtrip!

the winner of the rail comp usually gets a pair of skis. Besides the comp, there is a mad party thats going down at the condos next to snowtrails. Thatll be worth the drive in itself.

HAHAHA what stupid statement. No matter how good u r at building a jump/park u sure as hell cant change the weather. The temps have been so warm around here not to mention the power outages at Snow Traisl didnt help much. Ill be glad to post a few new pics in a couple weeks once the park is back in shape!!

From the looks of your park in the pics you just posted, your park seems to be more talked up than a free country. Is there a 'ride-on' policy at marquette? You should really get rid of that, ride-on's really take the value of the park down.

Anyway, you and friends should come down this weekend (jan 22nd) to our rail and big air comp. Itll be worth the drive.

yeah, the pic that is posted from snowtrails was from last week after 2 weeks of monsoon and power outages, so it is a horrible comparison to the pic of the jump from marquette, which does look quite nice, that was taken when the conditions were good. you may as well have posted a picture of our park in july. that post looks like a kerry ad to me.

everyone who reads this should come down for the big air saturday the 22nd. its sure to be a great time, the jump is always fantastic, and atmosphere is very energetic. so if you are anywhere near snowtrails, or you have a little cash to spend on gas, make the sojourn, you won't be disappointed, i assure you that much.

doesnt seem like anyone gets along, MI should have their own regionals section. most people in it are like 8+ hours away. OHIO/IN have more in common anyways, i am sick of all this talk.

I don't know about that...Marquette is definitely sick, and the pics of your park don't impress me the least, the only complaint I can ever make about MM is the fact that it's usually harder (icier) than what I'm used to, but they have 2-3 times as many people if not more flowing through their park as us so you for sure have to take that into account. Plus it's a north facing hill so it needs to get really warm for things to soften up.

I would be willing to bet there will be many less people flowing through the big park at MM this year because of the park pass that people are going to make a big deal about. I think that's sweet, less clutter more jumping.
