New mackdawg teaser is nuts!

I need this.... Did anyone else notice that there were guys going like... 130 feet on backcountry booters over 150 foot drops doing double corks? I mean, this makes skiers seem like amateurs.
 
they've been making movies for 20 years.... honestly think about what you all were doing 20 years ago, i was 4 just a few years fresh from learning how to walk, and these guys were out shooting snowboarding..... look at the progression in skiing in the past few years especially this year.... its just around the corner..
 
i'm going to hold my judgement until i see it cuz while picture this was off the chain cinematicly, the riding didn't hold up. it wasn't bad it just wasn't as good as the production quality. this one appears to be next level through and through however. we'll see.
 
Didn't remind me of TBC at all... The pans, the time lapses, the music. Nah, not at all. Pretty sick but I definitely liked their last trailer alot better.
 
That's def. the music from the TJ v. Wester seggy from TBC. The shit at JOI when they're one-upping each other. I'd say TBC is still the closest to a really badass ski movie ala Mack Dawg's shit.
 
And now MDP is stealing TBCs music. Cute.

Sick looking riding for sure, but I still like ski videos. I would expect that The Massive and Turbo will be as good.
 
MDP never fails to deliver. Their editing makes it look like a cinematic movie, not just a compilation of shots of snowboarding.
 
Looks like they once again used a dolly to film people laughting in the backcountry.

I didnt like the vibe from picture this. Follow me around was an whole different thing tho.

Nah dude, both companies jacked that song from a skate movie.  Def a sick trailer but I think it would be nice if these bigger companies started looking through a more unique selection of music.

the TBC has like 3 songs that are straight out of the Hot Chocolate skateboard video that came out a year before TBC. its always a little disappointing.But mac dawg has some really sick camera work
 
i'm so stoked for this years snowboard movies, thats it thats all and the new MDP in particular. Such a good lineup
 
it was good, but didnt wow me. its to the point were things almost look faked bc of the cinematography. itll prob be really creative again, but i expect massive, reasons, and head for the hills to be just as killer.i enjoy ski movies so much more, aerials just seem so much more impressive and the urban is getting more creative all the time
 
yep. but than again im sure most music has been used at some point by somebody, you cant keep track of everything
 
Awesome video, some of the shots were amazingly done and the image quality is fucking beautiful.

Really hope I get to see more teasers in the next while.
 
Yeah, re-using music is lame, but you can't expect the people who film/edit movies to have seen every ski, skate, and snowboard movie in the past. You can't expect MackDawg to watch a ski movie from 4 years ago. And Mack Dawg can do whatever they want, especially if it's something as miniscule as re-using a song.
 
That was good but nothing epic.

Every legit film company uses dollies now, so that is not anything new.

The tricks were dang good, and they have some creative jibs for sure.

MDP proving that no matter what sport, voice overs still sound incredibly forced
 
I don't see why re-using a song from a different sport is bad anyway, a lot of people don't watch ski movies if they snowboard, like when that technine trailer came out and people said they stole it from 9thward, it doesn't matter. Sick trailer though, that one shot with the frontside on the c box and everyone flying over was dope
 
It was pretty cool but save that amazing looking cork to wallride I don't see anything that was really ahead of good skiing, The biggest difference between MDP stuff and ski movies IMO is budget, they can just afford to do waaay better cinematography that makes regular hits look amazing.

I liked some of the urban though, I think theyre taking what you could do a few seasons ago, then flipping it around and adding a new component. Very clever snowboarders, very clever indeed.
 
That was sickkkkkkk, i really liked that shot where dude was sliding the box and 3 people aired over him.
 
looks like it's going to be a sweet movie. More good vibes than picture this which I thaught was kinda dead, dope cinematics but no "spirit" Everyone should also check out Isensevens "Teenage love grafitti" which also looks dope and they always has so good spirit in their movies.
