NEW Line Binding.... Evidence?

So Line has this great new binding that they have been talking up for the past 3 years. But besides Line's personal review of the binding, is there any other evidence that this thing will do what they promise??

Line does not give any good specs on it, even on their web page. It all seems subjective evidence. And the chart they ahve makees no sense at all. It hink its all propaganda and until they can prove, with sufficient evidence, that thier binding works, i am not going to look twice... ok, when i see it i may.

I think NS should buy it and do an outside review!

i thought that those bindings got cancelled, or at least postponed. but it was supposed to be put back into ...you know... dealio

this has been done enough. No more talk about them until they are out and people use them and so we have threads that aren't composed of 98 percent bullshit.

it does not matter if i post this now, or late, there will still be bull shit, but i can obviously see through it. That is what i did when i read Line's report, i saw throught thier shit.

I couldd't even hand that thing in as a design project without getting an F.

its only been 3 years because last year the factory got scars ...think about it ,it's not there falf it people recived scars . and iam shure the binding will be amazing just wait to try them out before we talk about them .

haha ok i know it exists, and 3 years is not a bad thing, it is more time for development. im just not conviced the binding is what its made out to be.

Fair enough. I don't expect any of you to believe it until you see it. Give it until the fall when it's released and you'll have the proof you need.

What I can give you now, a research team at the Univesity of Montreal did an INDEPENDENT study of all bindings, not just ours, and found exactly what we've been claiming. Our binding is the only binding that reduces stress to your knee to a safe level in a backward twisting fall. Their findings have been approved for publication in a major medical journal.

Other than that, all I can say is we've been testing a new, and dialed in version of the binding and all the durability issues it may have had are taken care of and the new binding has been riding great.

lev rode it all around the mountian, through the pipe, ect and i never once saw any unncesessary releasing, ect of the binding. He had Chronics with the Line binding on them, and ill have to say that the weight wasnt anything horrible. They never advertised it to be the lightest in the world, but this isnt the 'brick' of two years ago. Other then riding it myself and seeing J take it over tables, id have to say that its 'not a deathtrap' and an actual binding. So keep an open mind on it

hope that helps, haha thats the best evidence i have..and ooh its red

I'm still riding the 'brick' quite happy with it actually lol. I'll be getting the new one, 10% off because I got the old ones. I thought Line would come through in the end, just gotta be loyal and stick with it.

its sars, and actually the whole factory DIDNT get it to the best of my knowlege. But yeah, if its cleared by all o the orgs regulating this stuff I dont see a problem

Quote of the week:Yeah, thanks Jodi's mom, for the blowjob... I always give in when she busts out the Werther's Originals!

i have seen them too, and i am keeping a open mind, i just havnt made a desicion yet because i dont feel like i have the best information. i would love to try a pair out

I think I will get them again now that they sound more durable. I broke 3 pairs in two weeks last year, but when they werent broken, they seemed really secure.

signatures are for pussies

i have a pair of the 'brick' demo bindings. they're demo's from last season. i've got em quickmounted on a pair of 175 darksides, which i ride hard. they've never released stupidly on me. never. (well, except in the lift line when i neglected to clip in right. my fault, not the bindings). they deal with snow on the bottom of your boots VERY well, which i like as i'm a ski instructor (skis on and off all day). they do eject you if you torque them during a fall. i was skiing stratton, ended up coming up short on one of the 45 footers, and the skis stayed on. my legs almost didnt, but the skis did. any other pair of bindings that i've ever ridden on would have folded, and bounced me out.

yes, my bindings are heavy. no, they do not screw up with the release settings. there's your proof. they are solid bindings. (and mine are DEMO bindings, with the flip switches to move the toe and heelpieces.)

i could go take a picture of em if you wanted me to, but i'm kinda lazy right now.

this is the new version of the chronic threads when nobody knew what they looked like and newbies just wanted pictures which nobody had.

i thought they all could be adjusted for size. that was one of their benfits, being able to switch skis AND sizes easily.

Barny, the bindings have a din setting, just like any other binding we have to go through the same tests and certifications. At a minimum they have to be as safe as what is currently on the market, or they wouldn't allow us to bring them to market.

Peace

i don't see why people are trying to make final decisions on next year's skis when this years not even over. i mean yeah look forward to next years stuff, but don't over do it.

^ ya, but i think it might also be too good to be ture, unless line can come up with a way to actually make a strong, trusted binding that you can switch around with your different pairs of skis, i dont think it will happen, but i hope companies benifit from this idea

i skied the chronics with the new bindings on them. there actualy pretty light. they have the pivot points that the say. i actually thought that i popped out of them to easy for the din level
