New lightweight skis

Hey y’all. I’m looking for a new pair of skis for next season because the edges on my nomads are in rough shape and I don’t know if they’ll be able to withstand another season. I’m looking for a park ski that has some all mountain capabilities. I want a ski that’s:

somewhat light (

Idk if it’s just on my phone that the original message is cut off, but it’s supposed to say somewhat light weight

wets r the lightest skis i’ve ever ridden i think they like 1700g

Are the wets good at high speeds? And do you have any experience with the wet plus?

dog if u wanna ski big mountain dont get vishnus haha. all that is on the ground when youre skiing normally is your underfoot. just a personal opinion ig tho. im currently on prodigy 2.0 s and i absolutely love them for all mountain days as well, honestly convinced i dont need my bigger skis anymore. vishnu is a super cool ski just probably not an amazing one for all mountain at all

he didn’t say big mountain jus all mountain

i have no problem going fast on mine, no experience with wet plus but i’m sure stiffer would only be better for all mtn

also wides might b a bit more stable

K2 Reckoner 102? Any of Libtech's park skis.

Fwiw you asked about wets at speed and I think you need to find a balance of how light you want skis to be and how fast you want to go. Most of the time light skis are going to chatter at speed on hard snow or get deflected and bucked in choppy conditions.

Yea that’s what I noticed with my nomads this year. Do you think that the liberty helix 88 or 98 would be good as well? I’ve heard that they are light but are stable at higher speeds

I was just coming to chime in about Liberty. My Liberty antigens were super light, soft in tips and tails but extremely solid underfoot. They fucking held it together at speed. Bamboo is a great wood for its dampening and energy. Liberty would be a great option to look at.

I don’t think I’ve ever been on a ski that light and that stable when jumping. It didn’t make sense.

2nd this. Loved/love my antigens. Beat to hell and still being used to this day. Demoed the Helix 98 and had a blast even in early season December crud. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to someone looking a good one quiver ski.

Gave my Antigens to a coworker when I left Aus. I miss them. I even wrote Liberty asking if they have any laying around lol

I will be checking out liberty again myself in the future

The Prodigy’s crush bro. Might be heavier than you want but they can take an all day bashing in the park, switch ripping groomers, and the 98 underfoot keeps you floating above anything that is basically boot deep. On the stiffer side relative to other park skis, but offers solid pop because of it and won’t chatter when you’re doing 50 in a 25.
