New Leigh Powis Edit

Everything he did was sick but it would've been 10x cooler if he made it artsy and used a good song like he usually does. That song is so annoying, it stopped being funny after the first time i heard it.
 
I'm sorry but that was garbage, that looked nothing like he usually he does. So much arm flapping and sloppy switch ups and a shitty ass song. But I'm pretty sure he's just coming back from a knee injury so props to him for gettin back at it, he's probably just a little rusty. Oh and please never ski without poles again

Spinning nose-press thing was cool, could have done without all the switchups.. Style needs some repolishing too.. Still one of my favorites though.
 
wasnt as amazed as usual but it wasnt as good. like said before the style was a bit off and the shaved head just looked wierd

I'm just gonna say I really miss the old Leigh, but I guess that's how injuries take your career. The oven mitts and arm flapping was just way too much for me.

stoked to see leigh powis on skis again, whatever quality the edit was. i thought he was gonna do a brogan or something after his latest injury. this season was prolly just rehab and recovery so its sick for him to put out an edit this year. give it time ns.
 
I hate it when kids on NS say they "miss the old (insert pro skier's name)" and want them back. As baller as that older edit is, skiers reinventing themselves is critical to the progression and diversification of style in the sport. Personally I loved this edit because it has an ignorant, in-yo-face attitude while still remaining artistic, and Leigh's skiing also reflects that. He ain't givin no fucks, just shredding.

It baffles me that kids think they can or should dictate what a skier puts out. Why not try to enjoy it, and maybe look at it from a different perspective. Fucking reactionary kids on NS.
 
has nothing to do with dictation. A lot of us have seen him ski over the years and are not impressed by this edit and that is our opinion. Do you even know what reactionary means?? hahahahahaha

You kids are so spoiled, that instead of seeing the subtleties and greater context of this edit, you react in a negative way, demanding that things should go back to the way they were. Which is basically the definition of reactionary. Moron.

I think I know what a good edit is, and this one was absolute crap compared to what he's come out with before, cmon, he had some of the first dub 12s in 08 and now he's doing this?!!!? He just dresses up skiing, it's not really something he lives out all the time, which sucks balls. That's why I didn't like this. And Max Morrelo should be bigger than him, way better, but why not? Because people like you think this kind of thing is good

Just because a snotty little kid like you thinks that dub 12's should be the determining factor of whether or not an edit is good, doesn't mean that the rest of us do.

Your Max Morello comment is just down right retarded, if we take your logic to it's conclusion it would mean that only the "best" skier should do edits. Is it not possible to like two edits or two skiers, regardless of their perceived skill? That's the beauty of edits, there is no judging saying that one is better than the other, and we can all enjoy the diversity and creativity that is born out of this fact.

And the fact that your narrowminded little brain can't comprehend someone could have other passions than skiing, well that isn't really surprising.

No, I don't think that dub 12's make an edit. I was saying he used to be at a smoother level, and now he wears oven mitts and that edit just sucked. Also I'm not Swiss. Fucking Danish prick.

Can you guys stop bitching? Yes I see this is definetly not the best Leigh has ever put out, but the reason I think it's "tight as a nun" is because I think it's great that he made the effort to put out a new edit despite how his skiing may look. I'm not saying Leigh is old, but when Henrik is getting too old to throw anything big or have as much style as he does now are you gonna diss him for not being like "the old dollo"?
 
Leigh is not that old, that edit was nothing to only last year, and Dollo changes style all the time, and I love that but Leigh just isn't at the same level anyway
