Stop motion animation. Same thing they did in star wars thingamajigies. In fact, there was a lego movie set that had the movie camera and everything, and it told you how to make radgnar stop motion lego animations. Basically, if you don't know, it involves basically taking pictures at each frame, and between frames moving the subject a little, which tricks teh brain into believinbg the object is in motion.
