Yeah, there are these new skis I saw the other day on I think freeskier or something's forum. Kastle like died 10 years ago, now its back to kill the competition! Yeah, these have a full twin tip, and are straight! They say it helps teh ski spin in the air. And i demoed them today and i was like oh shit, there is a computer in there!

we heard nothing of Kastle twins at the demo days during WSI (and we got to test everything except Armada, Salomon and ...something else, but it wasn't Kastle). Hopefully if they have something, their technology has improved and they got away from that crappy plastic cap they used to have. Their race skis weren't too bad before.

Yeah, Kastle skis were always part of the same group as Nordica (Benetton Playlife, same as Technica I think), then about five years ago they changed their name to Nordica.

 
Now, i am not totally sure on this, but i'll tell ya anyway.

I heard from a very reliable source in the industry and Nordica was bought back by Bennetton (sp) just recently. The talk is that nordica skis will either no longer exist and switch back to kastle, or they will run a dual line with nordica and kastle sharing some models.

Just a rumour, but i heard it from a pretty good source.

theres this old fart last year who has skied all over the world and he would come in and tell me stories in my shop last season he used to be a ski tester of all kastle new products he was on a team with 5 guys over in france that would test them he said they would average breaking 3 or 4 pairs a piece each week.

Tecnica bought Nordica earlier this year from Benetton. It was around Feb/March. I can't really see them buying Nordica back after selling the company less than 6 months ago...
