NEW K2 EXTREMES???

besides having the dope retro graphics...whats the story on these. Specs? Are they just PE's with a new topsheet?

Don't give me the "Search Bar" either...I looked....
 
that is wat i read in some thread before.
they just changed the name cause to give the ski a new look becasue the PE sales have gone down a fair amount cause people dont think they are good cuase they are "old"
kinda smart yet kinda dum cause wen the PE sales were up there wernt nearly as many skis to choice from and now that there is more there is less preasure for people to buy from them becuase they can choise from like 30 other companys
 
i really hope it isn't just the PE with a new graphic....that ski was bomb proof, but it was no fun for me.
 
Considering it looks like the PE has been dropped from the lineup, I am willing to bet it fills the niche.

Too bad, I love my PE's, but so long as there is a ski to fill the gap then its all good.

sounds like a pe to me, in bounds ripper with same sizes and dimensions as the 08 pe. im feelin it, cool colors etc.
 
Same ski, same construction, same dimensions, different colour.

Takin it back to the old-school.

I wonder if anyone that used to have extremes actually buys these for that reason?

hmm..

maybe "public enemy" was too aggressive name so they took the old name back. what if trouble makers, invaders and punx are too aggressive names and they'll change them to something hippie like:

love makers, invalids and popx. ....don't hate me i'm just playing around

 
I love everything about this ski, except for the fact its exactly like the same as the PE. The graphic is the sickest i've ever seen( newschool skiing needs to harken back to the 80s and 70s more in terms of ski graphic), however the PE doesn't appeal to me at all. I wish it had the flex of the fujative with a 100mm waist and maybe a slight rocker.
 
The k2 is marketing the extreme to fill in the PE in the line up. It appeals to old guys who ride twins mounted way back seat because of how it skis and the retro graphics. Free style crowd will like it because it is the exactly same bomb proof park slayer minus the heavy ptex top sheet, now with sick graphics and popping colors. It is way lighter and feels a lot snappier turn to turn just because of the weight loss. The ski gets two thumbs up in my book.

If you get a chance to ride k2's factory team line up... DO IT they have some sick stuff for 09
 
i think i might buy them next year just so i can have an XTREME pair of skis. tho if there was a mtn dew logo somwhere on it, itd be LEGIT xtreme.
 
they looks sweet... my uncle still skis his old purple extremes and i told him to get twims but he wont cuz he thinks that his skis are as good as it gets, maybe ill be able to convince him to get these
 
is this true becasue if it is i might by purchasing a pair. I always considered getting a pair of pe's but the they are so freaking heavy and dead feeling. hopefully the extremes will be just as bomber and a little bit more livelier
