New Joystick Site.

You are buying an idea. You get some poles too, but mostly the idea that you are supporting the underground ski industry.

joystick is definately trying to make their poles into an exclusive product, not a mass marketed one.

by not putting a whole bunch of info on their site they generate curiosity and interest toward the product without any ads.

also whenever you see those poles on the slopes you will recognize them easily without a logo or anything, hence marketing without "overhype".

i think it all fits into the philosophy of being able to sell a product because it is desireable on its own without hyping it up through sponsorships, ads or a fancy website.

a bit of a slap in the face to all those nice skiing sites

(line, armada, ninthward, ect.) i think

Read the post referenced above, long but needs to be known. Everyone is so concerned with sponsorship in our industry, which can be a good thing, well putting your dollars into companies in our segment gives them more money to grow, which includes sponsoring MORE people. Just an example of why $60 towards Joystick would not be a "waste" of money. That new person on the team could be you, or someone out there killing it and pushing our sport and making people on the mountain amazed that skiers can do cooler shit than snowboardersl!??! = more awareness, more money in broadcasting our sport, more people coming into our sport, MORE, MORE, MORE of what we all LOVE.

Now I am rambling, and off topic of the post somewhat, but think about who your money goes to, we all need equipment, we can't all be sponsored, we all want equipment to get better, stronger, sicker, etc. Think about the people pushing this equipment for US specifically and help them make us sicker gear!!

Most definitly, i mean the point of the website is to promote, and since there is no product, what are they promoting? Joysticks image and name.

I think it's lame, but since its a company with just one product (a pole) then i guess at least makes sense that there's no product showing

actually, by not puting any info on the site about ski poles is going to cause people to say "what the hell is this, just some site i guess". it says nothing about skiing and leaves no room for growth.

^Yeah because theres totally no way that website could expand and gain new sections whenever tony feels like it. no room for growth at all. does anyone expect people buying joysticks to go to the site not knowing what the company is about? really?
