Lupe may not rap like the generic thug but he's about as hood as you can get. When he was like 14 his dad busted a neighbor crackhouse while Lupe aimed a handgun out the window to back him up.
 
You guys are all fucking dicks. sure, i have nothing against lupe, but i can for sure understand liking the oldschool rappers like biggy, j and tupac rapping about smackin bitches and how fucking great they are. newschool is now about storytelling, and sure, it's pretty sick, but some people like oldschool. telling someone he's an idiot and ripping on him just because he like's oldschool rap is a low blow. and lupe is a bit of a pussy as far as rappers go
 
ok, sorry, i should be specific. oldschool rap, like tribe called quest, etc, was storytelling. then NWA came in, and when the 80s ended and 90 started, what i was referring to as oldschool, i guess i should have called gangsta. but Biggie, tupac, j, were not storytellers. they rapped about being the shit. they rapped about cappin fuckers and smackin their hos. i'm talking "hail mary, full of grace, i smack the bitch in the face". The first form of rap was nothing like these guys. nowadays, you can't talk about smacking bitches, because it offends the ladies. have you heard one lil wayne or flo rida song about smackin bitches? there might be one, i haven't actually heard much of either, but i doubt it. lupe's, while a mature storyteller poet, would have been called a straight pussy by any 90s rapper, and if you try to say for one second that rap nowadays is anything like it was in the 90s, then you're even more full of shit than i thought
 
"If you want the old jay-z, buy my old albums" Jay has always been years ahead of his time, the first blueprint was the hottest cd ever, every track was a banger. I own every one of his cd's, listening from front to back is better then any movie trilogy
 
wo wo wo wo. did you just say that BIG was not a story teller. phhh as in the song- i got a story to tell. or any other of his songs... and tupac was a poet and wrote a shitt load of poetry, which a bunch of them were love poems.
