New Internet Browser: Google Chrome

I just love the light feel it has. Theres the bloated internet explorer, which leaves all the rest. I think that if this builds up a good community like firefox, there will be some nice applications.
 
I'm using it right now. It's quite fast. And the setup is very small, so you get a big screen. I dunno if I like it better than firefox though.
 
I am going to stick with firefox until I can find a spelchekur for google. I miss the little red underlines that point my silly typos.
 
its only in beta so im sure support for linux and mac will come..

I wonder how much info its gonna be sending back to google about browsing habits
 
so far so good, but the scrolling is weird on my laptop. it jumps really fast and scrolls to the bottom of the page really fast. other than that i like it better than firefox.
 
same, I trust google cause i know they know what their doing but im gonna wait till everything is set in stone with this one
 
i tried. alot of random pages didnt work so i switched back. and i mean normal ones like to reply to this thread or when i did a google search.
 
Click the page in the top right corner, then click open incognito window. From there you can browse and none of the history will be saved, basicly in the window nothing will be remembered. Your incognito window will be fresh whenever you open it. So that's a wicked feature. Especially if you look at pron.
 
I've been using it for a couple hours. I have been using Firefox, so that's what I'm basing this off of:

pros:
Small and compact, so huge screen.
The new tab page. It's pretty much perfect. Top visited sites, most recent bookmarks, AND recently closed tabs.
Runs each tab separate. I haven't had it crash yet, but at least when it does it won't kill all the tabs.
Application shortcuts. GMail right on my desktop, with a nifty icon to go with it.
Dynamic tabs.

Cons:
No spell checker.
No auto check for GMail (an add-on I have for FF)
Bookmarks are a bit harder to access, you have to see the whole bar to go through them.
 
just got it. and i have to say its pretty cool. definitely worth it. loads in the same time as firefox, but in a different way it seems. cool
 
the spell check works for me. like right now while im posting if i spell htis wrong, yup its underlined red.

im lovin it so far. really fast. ns is not choppy anymore like on firefox for me. shits ballin
 
well im using it right now n its working pretty well. its got the spell checker on it, n a lot of other cool features. and agreed with other posts, its fast
 
just got it..... way faster than FF..... i cant figure out how to customize tho????? like y cant i get a search bar??? i have an adress bar but??
 
the address bar is also the search bar. wen u type somthin in you can click search via google for it, or if its like a site you've been to it'l finish the url, or go to a link off that main page
 
Oh shit, type in music and then search for a band. I'm still trying to figure out if what I did worked or if it was already there.
 
Nice to see I found something useful. I am going to look up a spellchecker, but that still doesn't mean I will ever delete Firefox.
 
My spellchecker with firefox never worked but its back working with chrome which is sweet.

NS PM's dont resize properly with chrome...anyone else having that issue?
 
I like it so far..the incognito thing is pretty sweet too

but I just need some features from firefox transferred over and its a winner
 
as far as technicality for people who actually know how to use the internet to it's full potential, firefox will always be the best. google chrome seems a lot like safari, built for people who know nothing about computers, so easy a dog could become an expert at browsing.

i'll stick with what's best.
 
i am not a fan of the look of it so far...and yea it has a long way to go until it catches to FF...but its a bit more user friendly, that being sad i will test drive it...but for the long run as of right now im with the fox

im using it now on my laptop but whenever i scroll down it goes super fast and it wont let me scroll up
