"SAM Magazine—Copper Mountain, Colo., Apr. 25, 2007—In an aggressive move to build upon its freeride programs, Copper plans to build an indoor training facility for athletes who are interested in improving their terrain park skills.

Current proposals include trampolines, bungee systems, synthetic snow ramps and foam crash pits. The resort will complement the facilities with a professional coaching staff. In addition to the indoor offerings, the center will be linked to an outdoor facility.

"If you have a kid who wants to learn to do a 360, you now have an opportunity to send him to a place that has the right level of professionalism and the proven ability of the brand behind it where they can go and learn in a more controlled environment,” says Copper marketing director Ben Friedland. “We think this is going to be absolutely huge.”

If the center proves to be a success, other Intrawest resorts may follow Copper’s lead."

This sounds pretty damn sick to me. Indoor foam pits so you can learn stuff easily year round.

yup. there park was pretty mediocre at best this season. cool facilities would be nie, but a good park should be the first step.

i think woodward built, or is in the process of building a facility like lot 8 or the gym, that will have jumps and foam pits, possibly ressi but that would basically be like landing on top of a box, for winter sports. I dont know much to about it though. I know they were testing a giant crash pad deal this past week on the jumps.

that sounds so sick! thorwing shit on jumps can be scary but if u do it into a foam pit before it would eb easier once u get ont he hill.. i think its a good idea! when are they starting to build??
